Could you explain why over half of the reviews and users under the **** ****** category have been removed?
Oh I am sure that's not a case of censoring as well. Could you explain?

I have to go to bed, but I just have to point out that in no way are you being censored. I have not deleted or altered any of your posts. All I did was move them to the appropriate board within the forum. Moving posts to other areas that they are not intended for is most certainly censorship. I am just learning how you people have been getting along with it for so long. This will not be the end. This is the beginning of a discussion which just so happens to possibly include the question of who gave you the right to be a censor. Have a nice night as well. Whovitt already explained to you about the deleted users and threads here, but I will explain again. I'm not sure what you're seeing to say reviews have been removed. The moderation team never removed any posts from the **** ****** thread. We are not in the habit of removing posts and threads by forum users, except in very rare cases, as Whovitt explained (for example, we have removed spam posts in the past). If a post has been removed, you won't be able to see it. Neither can the moderators/admins. Once it's removed, it's gone. The deleted users deleted themselves. We never delete users, even if they are banned. We just ban their account, but the account is still listed in the members list. It used to be that when a user deleted themselves, you would still see their name, but it didn't link to a user profile. But in the last year or so, Proboards made a change in what happens when a user deletes themselves. When a user deletes themselves, the username reverts to Deleted. This is a change that Proboards makes. It's frustrating to us, too, as it leads to a number of posts by Deleted, and, unless the post was quoted, you can't tell which deleted user made a post by Deleted. Moving a post to a different board of the forum is not censoring. People can still read your words. The verb to censor means "to examine in order to suppress, or delete anything considered objectionable; also : to suppress or delete as objectionable." We have not done this. We are not attempting to suppress your words. We did not delete them. All we did, as I said earlier, is move them to the appropriate place in the forum. Since you obviously disagree with this definition, I think it will not be fruitful for us to discuss this further. But you are certainly free to express your opinion.

Posting content in it's appropriate place is just common sense, to reach your audience who are looking for that to which you post.. You have made it abundantly clear that you do not be(lie?)eve the explanation that has been reiterated to you by 2, now 3 Moderators. I am not going to repeat what they explained already, however I unequivocally stand by it, I have never seen any sort of censorship (the occasional immature swear word posted not withstanding) so that settles that. Believe me when I say that is that. You are more than welcome in your own time, since you appear to have so much, to contact Pro Boards and pose these questions regarding your concerns, perhaps then you will be satiated enough to accept what the rest of the forum knows is factual. We have a few members who in the past have personally Deleted their accounts, life gets in the way which is fair enough, and then come back, it's the same process- all Moderators get involved whether or not to accept a member back. Besides any offence material, slander, swear words, everything that is posted on the forum is left on the forum for a myriad of reasons. 1 reason I guess could be surmasied, a "teachable lesson/moment" for all. A sign post of a particular event. Now I must go now, I have a 4 year old son who needs to be fed his dinner. I sincerely, truly hope you will take this opportunity to pick your battles and get a sense of the room, a feel of your surroundings. If not, no harm no foul- thank you for your time. |

What a really SUPER want! I want this forum to be the main one connected to The **** ****** and the 2020 and beyond Outpost Gallifrey. That's what I really want because I think it would be best for all of the fans.
I don't want to start a forum. I don't want to sit around looking at my screen to see that Dorney joined finally.
I seriously think that The **** ****** / Outpost Gallifrey 2020 / NotTheBigFinishForums.com are a perfect combo.

There were circumstances where this very forum deleted a ton of stuff. Just like OutpostGallifrey. I just don't want to see that happen any more because I really want the special interactions, you know like with you. I don't even know what to say at this point. What a really SUPER want! Just a few things to point out here - This new ebiste has no affiliation with the original OutpostGallifrey, - The new site didn't bother asking Shaun Lyon (creator of the original OutpostGallifrey) for permission, and is now smearing him just because he pointed this out, as well as making weird acusations of him "destroying" the original community (just take a look at the most recent posts on the site) - Kamelion is a user on Gallifreybase, where in the past few months he's threatened legal action against Big Finish/the BBC for reasons lncluding, but not limited to: - Big Finish taking money for pre-orders - Big Finish releasing a subscriber short trip a few days late - Big Finish charging for overseas orders (Links to GB threads: x x x) So yeah, I'd think twice before associating with this new site.  |
