Yep, as above Mr Ian Potter for (one of my favourites) The Bounty of Ceres and some ace Counter Measures stories. I'm sure he has done sound design on some of the early stuff too.
Also Lizzie Hopley!

He has done a few for the main range He wrote The Emerald Tiger didn’t he? Which seems to be a story that a lot of people consider a modern BF classic. And Wreck of the Titan a a rare middle story in a MR Trilogy that doesn't loose momentum. and the other end of the scale a example of pure cheesy fan fiction in The Bride of Peladon. Regards mark687

Barnaby Edwards also wrote the terrific The Book of Kells I believe.
Seconded when it comes to Steve Lyons. He’s always been a particular favourite of mine and some of his contributions to the Doctor Who universe are nothing short of fantastic.
If any of you get the chance I’d highly recommend you check out his Ninth Doctor story The Stealers of Dreams from the New Series Adventures.

There are so many good names here already...
Shout out to Cavan Scott and Mark Wright for providing the spoke around which Evelyn Smythe's character arc spun with their Project stories. The first, Project: Twilight, deftly addressing the show's then reputation for violence in a way that put the Doctor at the moral heart of it. The second, Project: Lazarus, being essentially a trial run for the format used in things like the recent Thin Time/Madquake or Alien Heart/Dalek Soul. Outside of that is also The Church and the Crown, which was just an archetypally fun romp, and the eerie Masters of Earth.
Also, Mike Maddox who's given us Legend of the Cybermen, Trial of the Valeyard and the first two entries of Circular Time.

Personally I always enjoy a story written by Alan Barnes and I never think he gets the love and recognition he deserves for being the script editor on so many other stories.
I often wonder what the Charlotte Pollard series would have been like if he had written it. He introduced/created the character and writes Charley as I wish to hear her!

Grace Knight is a name that immediately springs to mind!
She only has a few credits at the moment but her Torchwood story in particular is just superb!

Stewart Sheargold, Gary Hopkins, Steve Gallagher, to name three. Of course, this boils down to personal opinion - I love the stories written by these people and wish there was more. Let's add some more - Caroline Symcox, David K Barnes, Stuart Manning (his work on the Dark Shadows range has been exemplary), Adam Usden, Cody Schell, Aaron Lamont, Marty Ross, Robert Ross ... So kind of you to think of and mention me! I'm afraid I've exhausted all methods of seeking out opportunities at Big Finish. Jason Haigh-Ellery isn't responding to my email where I hint that I have an idea for a 7th Doctor & Mel boxset series chronicling how they return all the "Time & the Rani" geniuses to their rightful times and places, (I just wanted to write the story of the Argolin scientist who tragically created the technology that led to the Twenty Minute War and Mel's horror at the Doctor's lack of inner conflict at returning the scientist to the right time and place to complete her work) so I'm afraid I'll never get the chance to count myself as truly appreciated. uoY knahT

Their loss (and ours, going by those ideas. I especially love the sequel/prequel to The Leisure Hive)!

Can’t believe I didn’t say it at the time when this thread was first created but I think John Pritchard is a rather under appreciated writer. Particular favourites of mine include ‘The Iron Maid’ and the recent Short Trip ‘Out of the Deep’

Trevor Baxendale would be my choice. He's written a lot of great stories for Doctor Who, including the best 10th Doctor novel, Prisoner of The Daleks, and a great Fifth Doctor novel with well realized horror themes, Fear of The Dark. He doesn't have a long list of Big Finish Who stories, but I think he's underappreciated and I'd love for Big Finish to chase him down and get him to write more for them. His recent contribution, the audio book in Masterful, is one of my favorite Master stories in years and his monthly range stories, The Fires of Vulcan and Something Inside, are both stories that I've enjoyed revisiting again and again. I hope we'll see him writing for Big Finish again soon.
