I’d always recommend Serpent in the Silver Mask myself. It’s Doctor Who does Kind Hearts and Coronets meets Agatha Christie with just a pinch of Scooby Doo. Simply delightful.

I think for myself I would least like to be without Time in Office, Cold Fusion, the E-Space Trilogy, and some of the stories with Adric that I'll leave to others to recommend since I don't think I'm very partial about those, I'm very fond of the lot of them. Agreed with others that Aquitane and The Peterloo Massacre are rather essential too. Maybe just my tastes but I also particularly enjoyed her installment of Destiny of the Doctor, Smoke and Mirrors.

The Fifth Doctor Boxset (with Psychodrome and Iterations of I) is definitely worth it. Both stories are rather good and act as bookends, of sorts, for the audio stories. One taking place immediately following Castrovalva, the other seemingly almost immediately before Earthshock. Outside of that... - Cold Fusion is a great event story, juxtaposing two very different Doctors together;
- The Elite did something with the Daleks we'd never quite seen at that point;
- The Waters of Amsterdam/Aquitaine/The Peterloo Massacre was a very strong trilogy, all in all;
- The Emerald Tiger feels genuinely cinematic and had me fooled at certain points regarding characters' fates, and;
- The Children of Seth is another Christopher Bailey (of Kinda and Snakedance) script (assisted by Marc Platt) with that very distinctive storytelling style.
If you're interested in Tegan's background, specifically, The Waters of Amsterdam and The Cradle of the Snake are great purchases. Cradle is rather good as it does something rather unusual for the Fifth Doctor. It's a Mara story, but it's not Tegan who's possessed -- it's everyone else. Starting with...

I've heard good things about Time in Office and I had originally intended to buy it when it first came out. I never got around to buying it at the time but I think I will now.

The only one I love that I don't see mentioned in this thread yet is Ghost Walk - but yeah, lots of great stuff! (Oh I missed it in number13's post - but it deserves a second shout out anyway!)

Cold Fusion is a no brainer - if you haven't got it, get it!!! Iterations of I feels like it could have made 39 years ago with it's Season 19 counterparts - brilliant story. Very fond of The Gathering, Cobwebs, Ghost Walk and The Lady of Mercia too.
Although not technically on offer I wholeheartedly recommend Tartarus as well. Janet/Tegan's 'no nonsense' attitudes are on fine form in this story; in fact I think it's her finest performance on audio to date.

Genuinely, thanks for this link. How we're supposed to navigate to the sale from the Big Finish site is beyond me (but then, a lot of things are).

Genuinely, thanks for this link. How we're supposed to navigate to the sale from the Big Finish site is beyond me (but then, a lot of things are). Since the New Website was given to a grateful Whoniverse I use the links on here more often than not. Sometimes it feels we could run out of incarnations working out how to do it the 'proper' way. Assuming there even is a way that doesn't start from a Tweet or FB post which I won't otherwise have seen. Until/unless an email arrives.
So... DU to the rescue, helping me spend money on BF, 24/7/365.25
