Anyway, I'm glad we're all here and I've made plenty of friends along the way (some of whom date from THE BEFORE TIMES!). In fact the only regret I have about the forum is that...cue flashback music...one of the most prolific posters (took a LOT to get Brigadier status as a poster) and all round decent people I met on the old BF forum, Jason (some may remember him, had a Narrow Boat named after his mum as an avatar pic) took a leave of absence a short while before the old forum closed. So I don't know if he ever found us. such is life.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

It has been a lovely five years being here (registered on September 24 2015, but was “recruited” through the Zero Room like so many others). I hope to enjoy a lot more time here discussing our favourite stuff.

I remember the official BF forum shutting down with no announcement. I remember also getting messages from my mate Timelord007 to come over to this board, it definitely took a few months/maybe up to a year?!?! My boy had just been born, and he had a couple little issues when he was born, plus living on very minimal sleep as you do with a newborn. I can recall the fun once joining up reading posts and slowly joining in the convo's- then happening to see a lot of posts on here read the same as on various FB Big Finish pages and slowly recognising forum members in their "face book worlds" LOLZ. Fun times 100% DEFINITELY outweight the lil nagging struggles and complications along the way- we really are more respectful on here compared to how the other forum ended up in the last couple months, great to see it is pretty much self sufficient to a degree- a testament to the mutual respect people have on here. Lol i remember messaging you about the new forumi know you Aussies are laid back but a year...seriously Lol I remeber the old forum Paul Spragg bless him run it brilliantly but when he sadly passedi think monitoring the site became difficult due to various things. I remember joining the old forum & posting 1000s of messages at the time my bipolar was off the chart & i clashed witha few people on there & was banned for a month Paul Spragg sent me a pm & we had a discussion where he gave me some wonderful life changing advice. However the old forum closed & i was quickly notified about this forum which is amazing, i met many wonderful people on here from all over the world & shared wonderful times & great anecdotes & the occasional disagreement but overall i enjoy my time visiting here, i feel genuine warmth from the people on here & it has been my anchor during some very dark times in my life the last few years. He's to another 5 years splendid chaps & ladies all of you.

Running on fumes because Junior inherited some of my suss genes. Fun times being so overtired I felt physically sick all day, alternating staying up most of the nite while wifey tried to get 2-3 hours sleep to get her through the next 24 hours LOL
I need to send you even more videos of junior, he has big Doctor Who #4th hair now, loves running around in my scarf and checking everything with his sonic screwdrivers LOL

Has it really been five years. Remember been shocked when the offical forum closed. Though people were quick to start Facebook group to discuss how would replace it. Think ideas were still been discussed when somebody posted saying a forum has already been setup and we should check it out.
Am not a big fan of Facebook so grateful to have a forum to discuss things on. Also seem to have a great bunch of mods who don't lord their power over everyone. But will take swift action if needed. Is a rare safe space online.

Paul Morris 7777 the Piers Morgan of the forum, i remember Briggys & Spraggers banning him, Jason Ward & i over a argument, Jason & i used clash frequently on the old forum thankfully as time went on we mellowed & found a mutual respect.
I look back & recall some of the nonsense i used to post, i see now i was in a very dark place back then self medicating high as a kite then the massive downers, i still am in dark place mostly due to the environment surrounding me but at least on the correct medication & use meditation as way to help calm me from the dark demons.
Been clean 4 years no self medication, the voice there when i get stressed but now i just ignore it.

There were two big beginnings in September 2015: Torchwood: The Conspiracy & Criss-Cross! And not long after that, there came the biggest release of that year (the first new series Doctor story) - Only the Monstrous!! Well! Look what the freebie this week is! The Innocent! I think that HAS to be part of the schedule for next Monday! The Innocent (available free until Monday) The Enigma of Dorian Gray (available free) What does everyone else think?!

Look, it is patently obvious to anyone that the War Chief IS the Master! How can you not see this?!?!?!? The really funny thing is that I have since decided that they are the same, despite having participating in the legendary arguments with You Know Who in the old days. And he'll never know! Probably for the best – I don't think I could handle the smugness. The Master isn't the Monk though. That's just crazy person talk. Has it really been five years? It doesn't feel that long. I can still remember when this place started up after the old forums were shut down. Five years! I was still in university. I could go outside without risking a plague. There wasn't a haze of smoke blocking out the sun when I look outside. I've really valued this forum. It's a nice, usually calm and reasonable place to discuss things. And call me old fashioned, but I still prefer forums to social media. There's just something about the sense of community, the sense that this is your place, that social media can't replicate. It's been a wonderful five years. Here's to at least five more!
