Okay, I think I've got everything (mostly) settled now. Here's a quick rundown of what's changed: - Added new "Alternate Universe Incarnations" categories where applicable. Currently this covers the alternate 1st Doctors from Unbound, David Warner's 3rd Doctor, as well as the 6th Doctor's Warrior (also Unbound) and Lord Burner (Gallifrey) incarnations. I'm not aware of any other AU incarnations, so please let me know if I've missed any! (Note: I am only including AU Doctors that are alternate forms of specific incarnations.)
- Eighth of March moved out of Standalone Specials to its own range in the Specials category.
- Moved Doctor Who Unbound to the Special Releases category, my reasoning being that Colin Baker's inclusion makes it less... miscellaneous. Make sense?
- And, lastly, I've changed some of the tags for various releases. EOM for the Eighth of March sets is the only new tag, others releases saw some numbering adjusted.
- EDIT: oh, right, and whenever I press "Save Changes" when editing a post, there's like a 20% chance that some formatting will get screwed up. Lemme know if you spot anything weird. AFAIK everything should be ship-shape now.
- EDIT2: ...And split up the 1DAs.
Now, there's one question: should 'The Warrior' also be categorized as an alternate-universe version of Jon Hurt's War Doctor? I think there are valid arguments for and against, but I'm leaning towards the latter, under the assumption that most of the people visiting this forum will be looking coming to those sets more for Colin Baker than for the Time War. But if y'all think otherwise, it's an easy enough thing to add.

Thanks.
Are we expecting a second boxset of Short Trips for Series 11, or is Big Finish simply halving the number-per-season?
Also, I revised the Index Notes section. New bits bolded:
Because they're kept separate, this does not affect the MRs (unless I add Doctor tags--should I add Doctor tags?), but for boxsets this essentially just means that if River Song makes a surprise appearance in a 7DA boxset, for example, regardless of how big or small her role in the story is, it will not be included in the River Song category.
Is this okay with everyone? It avoids spoiling these surprises, but it also means the Index is less useful as a tool for finding all of the media with specific characters.
Is there some way to do both? A way to hide individual lines of text, maybe? Can we change font color here (EG to white), or is there an alternate set of spoiler tags that doesn't create a dropdown box at the bottom of posts?

With Solo coming out next month, it's time to tackle the 4DAs. Which are... such a mess. I see two possible approaches to take: - Organize the range by boxset. This is good because that's how the rest of the Index works. This is bad because it creates weirdness like the series 11 stories being classified as 13.1, 13.2, 14.1 and 14.2.
- Organize the range by series. This is good because it presents the stories very cleanly and intuitively. This is bad because it's inconsistent with the rest of the index, and several series have discussion threads for the boxsets rather than the individual stories.
Right now I'm leaning toward the latter approach, thinking I could just duplicate the boxset discussion link for the included stories. But this may create a problem with spoilers, as all of the 4DAs can be purchased separately. Anyone happen to have any thoughts one way or the other?

Hrm... got another one of those organizational problems that bugs me way more than it should.
Colin Baker's Unbound Doctor is technically an alternate 5th Doctor, but I feel like it makes more sense to keep him under the 6th Doctor's umbrella. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

Everything should be up-to-date and consistent now. Some brief (for me) notes: - Reorganized the Master releases in the Special Releases category: short trips duplicates have been removed; Eric Roberts' two boxsets are now MAS 02 and MAS 03, respectively. Will probably change things around again if another Master gets a discrete range in the future, but for now I think this is simplest.
- Keeping Colin Baker's Warrior as an alternate 6th Doctor, as that seems to make the most sense to me. Let's all just pretend that timey-wimey hijinks resulted in this instance of the Doctor skipping past their 5th incarnation.
- Similarly: the Warrior is also categories under the Alternative Doctors subcategory, rather than in a new War Doctor subcategory. This keeps all of the Unbound Doctors together.
- Every announced upcoming release should no be included in the index.
- ...Still waiting for that NABS announcement....

....Will probably change things around again if another Master gets a discrete range in the future, but for now I think this is simplest. 10 days. I only had 10 days. Hooo boy. Not sure what I'll do now that the Mastery ranges are even more disorganized. Big Finish is categorizing Call Me Master (for now) under the "Doctor Who Special Releases" umbrella. So (for now) I've got the two recently-announced sets marked as MAS 04 and MAS 05. And I'm thinking... maybe it's okay to just leave them at that? I don't know if I've properly articulated this before, but my general approach is not to consider anything to be a "proper" range without 3 or more releases. Anyway, for the character categories I've spotted in Dhawan's Master after McKee but before Gatiss; Jo Martin's Doctor after the War Doctor but before (David Warner's) Unbound Doctor. .... Also, for Dhawan's Master: what do you think? Is he the Spy Master or the Spymaster?

Index successfully updated... should have all new threads and upcoming releases now; fixed some formatting; added the link to the first Dimension Cannon boxset thread that I somehow failed to notice every single time I scrolled through the 'Worlds of Doctor Who' subforum. Sounds good. I've already gone ahead and put the entries in, so it'll just be a matter of inserting the links once the threads are up.
