Thanks for your comments, Kestrel. I, for one, think the index overall is very useful and you've done a nice job compiling it. It is in no way your job to police forum members. That's our job, though we do try to do it with a light hand. If you ever have a question or concern about anything on the forum, feel free to reach out to the moderation team. And thanks for being here, Kestrel .

Okay, so I'm currently updating and reformatting the Index, and something has come up.
Should 'Destiny of the Doctor' be categorized as a "Special Release," do you think, or would it be better create a more generalized "Audio Books" category to differentiate from full-cast dramas?

I'm trying to cut down on the number of different categories. To my mind, the fewer they are, the simpler everything is, the easier it is to find stuff.
...Although, come to think of it, I have been wanting to add some parenthetical tags to certain stories, and I could do the same for audiobooks. I think I'll do that for now. So stories are not full-cast dramas will have "(audiobook)" or "(BOOK)" after the title; likewise, anthology releases will have "(anthology)" or "(ANTH)."
Which do y'all think looks better? The full word or the capitalized abbreviation?
EDIT: Okay, I've tagged all of the anthology releases I'm aware of. There are those that have the "and Other Stories" in the title, as well as Circular Time, 100, Forty-Five, The Company of Friend, 1001 Nights, Time Apart, Shadow of the Daleks 1 and Shadow of the Daleks 2. Did I miss any?

I think I'll do that... I may also slightly reorganize some things later...
Anyway, I've got the dropdown formatting and anthology tagging finished. I figured it looks best if only the releases with "dropdown" titles are underline, to kind of resemble a web interface UI, if that makes sense. Rather than simply underlining -everything.-
One thing I'm considering now is reorganizing the XDAs to accommodate Big Finish's retroactive additions. EG they've reclassified some MRBs as 6DAs, I've noticed, and have the "New 7th Doctor Adventures" categorized in the 7DA range.
EDIT: I've also considered placing the same releases in multiple categories. Obviously it would not be feasible to place the MRs into the XDA categories, but something like Dalek Universe could fit in the Special Releases, 10DAs and 4DA; likewise Out of Time in the 10DAs, 4DAs and 5DAs. A ternatively I can just keep all of those in the special releases category. Thoughts?
(Note: there are already some duplicates, EG the STRs).

Did some minor reformatting. Notes: - Monthly Range Extra acronym changed from MRX to MREX.
- #.X now refers only to stories that are unnumbered within a particular "season" or set.
- Unnumbered stories that are not included in a particular "season" or set are now tagged SP#.
- Range X.# now refers exclusively to ranges that take place chronologically at the very end of that range's timeline. EG the 8DTW are 8DA X# so that they're always at the bottom, as subsequent boxsets will come out set prior to the 8DTW sub-range. Currently the only other boxset this applies to the 6th Doctor's Final Adventure, though it would potentially also apply to the rumored 7th Doctor's Final Adventure storyline.
- Bernice Summerfield reorganized: each story should be correctly tagged now. As I understand it, the BENABs are all audiobooks, and the SPs are all full-cast audio dramas (or audio collections). Please let me know if I need to make any further adjustments her--as Benny is BF's oldest range, it is also among the most confusing.
- Moved the parentheticals to always be "inside" the entry--so that the discussion links are always on the furthest-right side.
AFAIK all of the new threads have been added to the Index as of right now. I neglected updates for the past week or two, however, so it's possible I missed one or two--we had a lot of activity in December. As always, let me know if I've missed any threads.
Also, a quick question: should the SP releases be at the top or bottom of the list? EG should the 4DA Dalek Universe SP be at the top or bottom of the 4DA list? Currently I've got them at the bottom, which seems most appropriate, but occasionally there'll be weirdness that ends up sandwiching them in-between the main range titles and a subsequent subcategory. I dunno. It just looks kinda weird to me no matter what I do, I think.

Uwah... I missed my self-imposed deadline, and it was only the second one! My Internet has been almost completely unusable lately (ISP should get it fixed tomorrow, hopefully, but this will be their third visit after breaking it the first time 'round) but i hope to update the index soon. I feel like I've missed a lot....
Anyway, I've tried something new with the Index--------------------------------------------------lots of hyphens. The idea is to use them to segregate the sub-ranges within each category. So now individual stories and individual sub-ranges are all clearly-demarcated. So... lemme know if you don't like it or find it adds unnecessary bloat. I think it makes the index easier to navigate, but at the same time it does also add several more lines, which means it may take longer to scroll through....

Hard to believe it'll be here in less than two months!
....
Anyway, Index should be up-to-date now. Also I went ahead and consolidated the WDB range under the War Doctor category.
EDIT: decided to mark The End of the Beginning as an anthology release. Curious whether or not there are any other titles in the MR, or elsewhere, that typically wouldn't be considered anthologies but nonetheless qualify.

Forgive me for using this as a notepad, but.... Reminder to self: go through past 2-3 pages to double-check new thread; at least one link (bang-a-boom) is missing.
EDIT: sorry if this is weird by but I'm on mobile right now and am terrified of screwing something up and accidentally deleting the index... just now I lost a relatively long post on The Juggernauts, somehow, so it's a nonzero chance.
