Does anybody know whether, what with Christmas post and all their sales, Big Finish's despatches are bit slower than usual? It's not quite been two weeks, and they say wait up to 28 days anyway, so I don't want to go and bother them directly yet, but I thought I'd ask here.
Cheers

My copy of Real Time from the Cyber Monday sale was just dispatched yesterday. There have been a lot of sales lately so I'm sure they are a little behind.

They're behind on my shipments as well. I've gotten a lot from the recent sales and they've filled some of the orders partially so I strongly suspect they are repressing some stuff to keep up with demand from the sales.

It took a couple of weeks to get the Zygon CDs dispatched for my order, but just over a week to actually arrive in the mail (half-way across the world). I'm hoping to receive the two volumes of Bloodlust in the next few days.

There have been a lot of sales recently and a lot of new releases. If I remember rightly, they concentrate on dispatching new releases first and there are lots more to come this month, so I imagine the warehouse is bursting with activity at the moment. Plus we are firmly in silly season now with the Post so I expect things to take longer to arrive. I haven't had a dispatch email about my Real Time order yet, but I'm not expecting it any time soon.
Cheers
Tony

Cheers Tony To the best of my knowledge, priority goes to subscriptions and pre-orders, since the team at the warehouse has forewarning of how many they can be expected to send out. As you mention, Christmas is coming up as well, so people might be choosing to source gifts from Big Finish, putting extra pressure on the team and the post system. Who knows how much snow will fall this year, and if Heathrow will once again be blanketed in the white stuff?

Just got a note through the post from BF saying the thing I ordered is out of stock, and will follow. Contrast with another company I recently dealt with, who tried to fob me off with a different colour of umbrella to what I ordered, and then griped about sending me a returns label.....

I got a similar note from BF about one Cd I ordered and it arrived the next day. Still shows as being on backorder on my account - weird.

I also got an email saying some of the series 3 Gallifrey CDs I ordered were out of stock (from the recent Gallifrey sale).
Interestingly, no mention was made in the email of the two series 2 Gallifrey CDs in the same order that are my bonus gift selection for my back to back Main Range subscriptions.
Hope they don't get lost in the shuffle.
I foolishly thought all the Gallifrey CDs (including the free subscription gift ones) would be shipped in one box.

My last 2 orders (Saturday and Sunday 2 weeks ago) were both dispatched the following Thursday and Friday and arrived Monday and Tuesday I live in the UK and both were large orders (15 CD cases and larger) so fast delivery (DHL) were used Smaller orders use regular post so can take longer

They must have not have had a lot of stock in for some of season 2 and 3 then as I ordered the bundle within a couple of hours of it going on sale. I'm not knocking them for items going of stock as when sales happen more popular items do inevitably sell out but they must have had at least an inkling of this sale happening. They were doing sales every week for season 9 and they must have at least an idea ahead of time that the finale was galifrey based and it made sense to do a galifrey sale. They must have had some idea that due to the sale and it would have been advisable to check and keep their stock at a certain level to stop certain items that are already low stocked going out of stock. The items must have been on sale for a good 36 hours after I purchased it so there must be a fair few that are waiting for some of those items. Any idea how long it takes for out of stock items to go back in stock?

I think it's weird that within such a linked series, so many individual titles are selling out - who are these people buying 2.2 but not 2.1 or 2.3??? On the plus side, the in stock ones arrived this morning.

Mine didn't show but there is always monday

Well, apparently, Big Finish did include my user selected free gift Gallifrey CDs 2.4 and 2.5 in with my partial shipment of the Gallifrey series 3 bundle. They just don't indicate anywhere when they are sending the free gift when it's a CD only that's part of a download sub. Apparently. The package arrived opened at one end, but nothing was missing and nothing appears to be damaged.

Just wondering since I don't usually order actual CDs how long does it usually take Big Finish to ship an order? Edit: And never mind I just got an email that my order was dispatched.
