Done Dracula, Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes, The Mummy, Wolfman, King Arthur, Robin Hood, John Carter, A Christmas Carol, Lion Witch Wardrobe... I could go on. But what are some classic tales that you'd like to see Who's ripping-err, creative spin on?

A fast-talking technical impresario who travels to strange places in a vehicle they cant control? I think Doctor Who has The Wizard Of Oz well-covered.

Jekyll and Hyde = planet of evil
Medusa ( tying into weeping angels) - not weeping angels, and not a full story, but Medusa did pop up in the Mind Robber

Emma - Jane Austen The Doctor imagines herself to be the perfect matchmaker for her extended 'fam' and engineers a few situations which will draw them closer. All the while, not realising the true love that is in front of her the whole time.

Sleepy Hollow Jekyll and Hyde Wizard of Oz Sleeping beauty ( with a vampire twist) I certainly like the idea of these. One thing it reminded me of, was that the First Doctor's outfit was apparently inspired by that worn by Frank Morgan in The Wizard of Oz (1939) In a way the First Episode and Season is inspired further as the Doctors initially authoritative and slightly intimidating persona gives way too a more kindly, mischievous and humorous reality. And he takes them away in his magical dimension crossing Balloon.

A cross dressing Shakespeare comedy where 13 has to impersonate one of her past male incarnations Question is which one? Hmmmm🤔 well the obvious pun would be Twelfth Night 😉Although any of them could work 🤔😁 But whichever incarnation she is impersonating has to show up at some point as well!

Charlie in the Chocolate Factory
I can’t believe Who hasn’t pastiched this yet! Willy Wonka is already pretty much a timelord and it has load of material ripe for parodying, plus think of the songs and black comedy! If they do a pastiche of this story it should definitely be set in York due to their long history of chocolate makers! If not main Who, I could see it being hilarious material for a BF Missy story where she opens her own evil candy factory!😄

Currently listening to a radio adaptation of this Victor Hugo story but I wonder, has Doctor Who ever done a pastiche of The Hunchback of Notre Dame?

Phantom of the Opera
Either a classic take or more modern take (perhaps with some references to Phantom of the Paradise) would be perfect for Who, tv or BF.
Pinocchio This could either be done with the Doctor, an alien, or perhaps an oddly benevolent Dalek or Cyberman.
Stepford Wives With 13 having to infiltrate and dismantle their community, by using her mechanical knowledge to reprogram the robot replacement wives to think for themselves and go against their evil husbands.
Picnic at Hanging Rock The mysterious unexplained disappearances of Australian school girls seems a perfect fit for Who!
Misery The Doctor gets kidnapped by their “biggest fan” would be a premise filled with potential for dark satire on toxic DW fandom.
James and the Giant Peach This would be fun for BF, the Doctor takes on some quirky bug people from the The Web Planet as companions for a few adventures!

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
I know Doctor Who has already done this in such tales as Planet of Evil but I do feel like you could do more with it in terms of a pastiche.
For example...
The Doctor finds himself haunted by hallucinations of the Valeyard. Hallucinations that only he can see. And combined with the recents blackouts and memory losses he has been suffering with recently, he begins to wonder whether or not his darker side is finally manifesting.

Yes I was thinking they should do Jekyll and Hyde with the Doctor themselves! So many angles you could go with it!

The Most Dangerous Game
Based on the short story by Richard Connell.
Trapped in the private hunting grounds of a wealthy (yet completely insane) big game hunter, the Master must join forces with the other alien life forms imprisoned there to avoid having his head mounted on the hunters wall.
The Foghorn (Ray Bradbury)
The Doctor (thinking Fifth perhaps) finds himself within a lighthouse where two keepers are huddled close together, completely terrified of what lurks outside. The foghorn of the lighthouse has attracted some great beast from the depths believing it to be another of its kind.
Is it a Mykra? Or some lost prehistoric creature?

The Halloween Tree With the Doctor filling in for Moundshroud taking a group of trick or treaters on trips in the TARDIS to tell them the histories of their costumes.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang As a BF story with 3 and Bessy
Watership Down With a planet of rabbit people
Twilight But as a satire, and the Doctor convinces the Bella stand in not to go with the Edward stand in and go to university instead.
Never ending Story Set in the land of fiction.
