Bought the last 3 seasons of The Sarah Jane Adventures DVDs.
My original plan didn't include owning these Sarah Jane DVDs, but apparently my initial needs proved to be eventually wrong.
The first 2 series of The Sarah Jane Adventures are the sets that include the largest amount of DVD extras. Interestingly, both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca have not directly stocked the NTSC series 1 SJA DVD for months. It's not out of print though; the BBC Shop sells it for a pricey sum of $50.98 CAD.

got cd's of blood cell (no plastic case but all paper insets/covers) for .20p from local charity shop! bargain all working ...well all ripped to mp3 fine. any one listened/read it....any good? Shannon O'Sullivan gave it a 9/10, for what that's worth, and it's by BF's own James Goss, so I'd say it stands a good chance of being enjoyable.

Bought the follow-up to the original Longleat '83 documentary video today: Longleat '83: The Lost Footage DVD (Reeltime Pictures) Previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage from that famous Easter weekend 20th anniversary celebration of Doctor Who. 130 minutes. Instead of buying the DVD-R; the cheaper alternative is to utilize the $3.75 (48-hour streaming rental) or $7.50 (stream + download anytime) options from Keith Barnfather's website. I'm going to tryout those digital options for some of the less "must have" Myth Makers interviews and Lust in Space (for example), which in the past, I have been hesitant about spending VHS/DVD prices to view them.

Purchased the "Dalek War" DVD boxset (Frontier in Space and Planet of the Daleks) - only two left to buy and then my Third Doctor collection is complete. Of course then I just have to get round to watching them.
Cheers
Tony

Spent some more money today. I decided to buy series 2 of New Who, since I can no longer view it on Netflix, and found it for a decent price from a re-seller.
And then I found a couple of Doctor Who books for reasonable prices: Business Unusual by Gary Russell. Human Nature by Paul Cornell, a first edition, not the reprint. Last time I looked for that one, I was only finding copies for $50 or more. I paid a lot less than that. Hope it will be in good condition as described by the seller.

Judging by Amazon, the last time I checked, the reprint seems to have devalued all the first editions (to the point where I saw one going for $3.)

Judging by Amazon, the last time I checked, the reprint seems to have devalued all the first editions (to the point where I saw one going for $3.) That wasn't at all the case a short while back. I was actually going to buy the reprint because the first editions were all so overpriced. But when I went to look again today, I found some reasonably priced first edition copies.

Got my copy of State of Change in the mail today. The Sixth Doctor meets Cleopatra in an alternate history Rome while Peri metamorphosises into her bird form from Vengeance on Varos. It's going to be fun.

Finally ordered Underwater Menace. Ended up ordering the UK release because it was CHEAPER than the US release and I'll get it sooner.
I also ended up ordering Harry Price Ghost Hunter. Non-Who related but since Scott Handcock worked on it I've been wanting to see it.

Definitely a good book and it would make a good audio, given that it's written in the first person. I was reading the narrator/warden as David Warner myself, probably because he seems to show up a lot.

Finally ordered Underwater Menace. Ended up ordering the UK release because it was CHEAPER than the US release and I'll get it sooner. For me to buy a less convenient (from my geographical standpoint) region 2 DVD of The Underwater Menace from Amazon.co.uk it will currently cost: £8.33 DVD + £3.08 shipping = £11.41 = $23.68 CAD + possible customs and taxes To pre-order (now a May 24 release date) the same Second Doctor story region 1 DVD from Amazon.ca it will currently cost: $22.33 DVD + $2.68 tax = $25.01 CAD The current pre-order price of $24.98 USD on Amazon.com is the priciest.

My copies of Human Nature, Business Unusual, and the DVD set of new Who series 2 arrived in the last week. The used books were in excellent condition. DVD set is new and appears to be fine - I haven't watched it all yet but I tested to make sure the DVDs would play properly, since I got it through Amazon Marketplace and I think there's a time limit on returns.

I bought a copy of the Target novel of The Ark In Space on-line and it came today. I'm a big Wirrn fan, and I've been wanting to read one of the ones written by Ian Marter. I thought it was one of the originals, but when I got it I saw that it has an introduction by Stephen Moffat and realized that I was wrong. 2012 reprint. I don't mind, though.

I thought it was one of the originals, but when I got it I saw that it has an introduction by Stephen Moffat and realized that I was wrong. 2012 reprint. I don't mind, though. Ian Marter put a lot of love into his novelisations for Who. Bennett's actions in The Rescue seem almost justified when we learn that the ship's pilot was high when he diverted the Astra Nine mission to Dido and the characterisation of the Fifth Doctor in his version of Earthshock reads very nearly like a workprint of the Sixth Doctor: "I never surrender, it’s too embarrassing." I've recently ordered a copy of Downtime, I've always had a lot of fun with it even if there are chunks of the narrative that remain in the hazy Ghost Light territory of resolved, yet unresolved. It uses the idea of the Great Intelligence in a rather inventive fashion in having it infest the New World University computer systems ( Doctor Who had really close ties to the cyberpunk genre in the 1990s thanks to the NAs) while still retaining some of the old holdovers from its Troughton heyday with its use of the Yeti and penchant for possession.
