Hi.
Just a few facts as I cant seemnto find a link to deny any of the "facts" in the article.
1 this forum is not run by big finish in any way. I don't work for them at all. I'd like to but I'm not good enough. I do love there work and that's why I set this place up.
2 we are and always have been a nice and inclusive place. Not a place for shouting. Not outpost gallifrey or face book.
3 our mods are brilliant and our rules always come down to one over riding principle
Be nice. And think before you post. I will not stand for ANY idiots as this is and must always be a safe place

I only just found out about this.
I've been on this forum since 2015, that's a good, solid five years of posting and interacting with members on this forum. We talk about all sorts of things. Doctor Who, audio dramas, books, stories and much more besides. Never over that period have I felt that I've been targeted, abused or otherwise mistreated for my asexuality. From any quarter. Quite the contrary, it is a non-issue. Members are tolerant. Moderators are tolerant.
I feel comfortable and welcomed here. I wouldn't have invested as much time as I have if I didn't. This is a good community. Well worth your time.

This is very nice inclusive and tolerant forum where everyone is kind and non judgmental. This is definitely a very safe space for BF and Who fans alike. It’s a very supportive community.

Never had an issue with anyone here. I’ve always considered us a thoroughly decent lot which is always willing to chat on just about anything. Even when certain members of us might have had disagreements it’s always been very civil.

I read the post and accompanying tweet and it’s total rubbish. The author of the piece provides no evidence or reasons for what they say because there is none. I love it here because of all those things that he says we aren’t. In over a quarter-century of trawling the internet this is one of the kindest, most welcoming corners of it I’ve ever experienced.

Just had a glance at it myself and I really don’t get it. As you have said there’s no evidence for such accusations and it strikes me as merely a hatchet job. That or the poor fellow is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. |

this is one of the BEST and ONLY forum I have been on and it’s tolerant(am a same sex attracted man myself).The Moderators are all fantastic and .do a wonderful job on something they AREN’T paid for.If you came because you want Trash you will not find it here.We all come here because yes we have differing opinions but we all Love our Doctor Who and Big Finish (just not all our Doctor Whos and Big Finishes lol)

Gosh, the very notion that Big Finish "secretly" set up this forum is just insulting to all of us who were around when the changeover happened, especially those who helped get this place going. I mean... I'm trying not to rant forever about this, as nobody is on the side of the person in question but... oof. That's not easy. Respect runs through these forums, though, rather than the usual bile that makes the internet run. So, I'd much rather point out how much TinDogPodcast and all the other founders and moderators here continue to have my respect, as well as all of you good people here! |

I have been working late all week.
It appears I have missed something.
Still have no clue which article this refers to, but I think I get the gist.
Anyways, I am not working for BF either, even if I wear the kit.
I am also not paid by BF (and neither for some other companies I have been accused of, just look at the car I am driving).
I do love this forum and I do love all you guys.
This is a wonderful place, a rock of calm in the storms of the internet.

Oh, I just got enlightened about what was going on. My only thought- WTF ? ? ? Dear forum friends, I repeat I love you all, quirks and all. And I do not know how we could be any more inclusive. Apart of course from keeping people like that in check here. And we are better for it since we have a wonderful little community which I really enjoy being part of. Tolerance and inclusiveness does not mean to be a push-over and to forget your standards. Some people seem to forget that. Dear Mr. Dorney, please stay as you are. And I say it again, I admire you for still having the saintly patience to engage with that side of the fandom. I would have already gone all "Blood for the Blood God". And if any corporate henchmen feel like paying me a bonus for my loyalty, I would not mind getting a new car.  |
