Yet another to add to Kestrels workload.
One of my favourite BFs -Davison and Strickson make a fine travelling pair on their own.A gripping story that spans the globe Germany,Russia and Brazil with some interesting concept and some wonderful and distinct vocalists.Mark gets a meaty role and Peter shines in this.Complex characters, depth what more can you ask for ?

An innovative and very original take on the mythology of the werewolf. Shame about the dodgy sound mixing in parts though.

This is one of my absolute favourites, more so as it's a bit of a slow build. I get the sense this is often overlooked โ luckily we've good taste on the DU!

My favourite character is the girl who chats to her dead grand-pappy, hunts werewolves and goes all mystical every now and again.

This will always be one of my favourite BFs. I think it has been slightly over-shadowed by Marc Platt's Spare Parts (which is brilliant, of course, as is the majority of Platt's work), but for me Loups-Garoux takes the biscuit. A tremendous cast and some wonderful music and sound design by Alistair Lock, and an ending that is truly dream-like and in its way, quite beautiful.
I've just seen this is available for ยฃ2.99. ยฃ2.99!! Grab it if you haven't already!

Quality stuff. I love Turlough and there are fewer audios with just him and Fivey than I'd like. He's such a unique companion.

I found the resolution pretty interesting, but doubt I was enable to enjoy the story as much as those who recommended it might've hoped--I just could get over the silly "dog voices." Ravenous had a bit of the same problem for me--sometimes a silly voice just kills a story for me.

One of my absolute favourites. I like to think of the loups-garoux as a Marc Platt answer to the Silurians. An extremely well-developed Earthbound species that I'm a bit surprised haven't found a life elsewhere. There's this lovely feeling of myths brushing noses with myths in this. The description of the Doctor when the werewolves scent him in the terminal is great (more like a collection of half-remembered sensations from childhood than the description of a person). The cast are this lovely blend of a peripatetic Doctor, haunted mother, guarded exile, roughshod youth, opportunistic physician and toothsome relic of the world when it was once wild.
The Fifth Doctor and Turlough, as a team, are a bit like the Rutans. They don't turn up as often as I remember, but they always seem to leave a lasting impression. I wonder if we'll ever get that Dalek story to dip into the opening of Planet of Fire?

I think BF undersell a lot of the back catalogue as if itโs well old and tired and I think itโs a real shame as it gives the impression that the newer stuff is somehow better which quite frankly is not always the case...but hey everyone loves a bargain ๐๐๐คช

Perhaps it's nostalgia speaking, but because there were comparatively few BF audios back then, each one was savoured, each release was an event. Clearly the more you release, the less of an event each release comes - and twenty years is some achievement! - but there is more of a production-line element to them now: this Doctor meets that Doctor, the Daleks are back again for no particular reason, an old companion is dropped into a story featuring a newer Doctor for no particular reason, etc. All that sounds more negative and damning than it should, and its inevitable that the new big event has to be bigger than the old big event - but these old stories weren't interested in constantly upping the spectacle with every release, and they were great because of that.

You want me to head on over ๐ least they let you review lol a maybe he died before he reached the end of it๐คช๐๐ Strange Amazon don't let you review, they changed it now stop tactical voting, one of a few my reviews no votes, i used be top 100 reviewer but got fed up trolling, only put some of em back because Google+ shut down. People have asked me start own blog but i can't be arsed to moderate it turned down You Tube because don't want be recognised besides far better reviewers than me doing a great job.
