This is just for fun but since we are entering October: What would a Halloween special look like tailored to each incarnation of the Doctor? Would one incarnation have a very gothic serious special heavy on the horror or another have a silly campy Halloween episode with costumes coming to life?
Mine For example, 12 my favorite incarnation, I think it could either go two ways:
A dark gothic tragic horror story where he either gets infected with vampirism or lycanthropy and tries to hide his suffering from his companion(s). Or An over the top musical episode in the style of Rocky Horror!

I don't know if I can come up with plots, but I came up with a list of movies with a general tone or aesthetic to shoot for.
1 - German expressionism a la The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. 2 - Classic b&w Universal Monsters 3 - Wicker Man 4 - Alien 5 - The Thing 6 - Nightmare on Elm Street 7 - Lost Boys 8 - 1992 Dracula 9 - Hocus Pocus 10 - Blair Witch 11 - Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow 12 - Quiet Place

2 - Classic b&w Universal Monsters That's a really good idea. Perhaps a haunted house situation, with the heroes penned into one room (base under siege) by the horrifying monsters.
Just so long as it's not done like "The Chase".

Even The Chase haunted house would suit Troughton better than Hartnell in my opinion. I think the Second Doctor would have a lot of fun with a Scooby Doo type of story. I like the non-silly option better, but that's just me.

Isolated location and so cold it will freeze the nuts off a brass monkey. A paranoid crew, a lurking threat, the odd doppelganger (good German word that Tuigirl btw), maybe a mad scientist or two... Typical base under siege stuff, surprised it hasn't really been done as part of the Monthly Range.

What about 13 in a story modeled after The Stepford Wives, with her trying to infiltrate the community and she could use her gadgetry know how to reprogram the robot doubles of the wives to go against their evil husbands.

I just have this vision of Fivey working in the lab trying to figure it all out, wearing those spectacles of his.

This would have to be during the sillier Douglas Adams half of 4’s era but what if there was a tongue and cheek Halloween special where 4 became a werehuman at night. When there is a full moon he becomes a normal meek human man with straight hair who wears a suit and tie and obeys authority and hates nonsense and bohemian things. Romana would have to find a cure before it’s too late!

Not sure which incarnation this would be for but, the Doctor visits a haunted house where they are seemingly haunted by the ghosts of their past companions who demised or are abandoned under their care as well as the ghosts of their past incarnations who taunt them for their failures.

Maybe the Ninth or the War Doctor? They have enough regrets from both the Time War and past adventures which whatever lurks in this house can prey on and make manifest.

I imagine it kind of being like a haunted house ride where the Doctor gets in a cart and it takes him inside.

If you drop the "past incarnations," picture it for the First Doctor circa Dodo: he doesn't know what happened to anyone so he can imagine the worst: He sees Ian and Barbara arrested under suspicion of espionage and kidnapping, Susan outliving her husband, her children, her grandchildren, Vicki unhappy in ancient times, Steven miserable and alone on an alien world. And that's before we even think about Sara and Katarina... Spookier than a rubber spider, I'd think!

Brain over brawn, every time, but in every haunted tableau -- the framework of an SIS interrogation room, the alleyways between gleaming arcologies, the drowning planks of a galley lost at sea, an ever-widening and lonely throne room -- he doesn't have the physical strength to pick himself up and rally an unshakeable stride through into the next chamber. He has no defence left but his mind.
