It'll be interesting to see how (of at all) the 4DA story ties into the 10DA stories.
Also: lol at the silly goblin voices. Easily the goofiest voice since the evil elf things in Ravenous 2. I love it.

Hnnng.... Mark Gatiss. Now I'm even more psyched. But with him playing the Unbound Master more and more, especially recently, I can't help but wonder if he'll be playing a new character or if, like David Warner, he's just "the Master," now. David Warner has been in plenty of non-Doctor roles, actually. He's had as many Doctor releases as non-Doctor ones since New Benny 3, having been Betterman in two Jago & Litefoots, The Committee in two Torchwoods and a one-off character in the First Doctor Companion Chronicles. Whereas Mark Gatiss hasn't played anyone but the Master in a BF Doctor Who since Excelis Decays in 2002! That is assuming that Luke Betterman ISN’T actually the Doctor. Better. Man, exactly the sort of pun he’d come up with.

Interesting Tidbit with The DORS Series 8 Newspiece
Producer David Richardson said: “We have, in Queen of the Mechonoids, a prequel to Dalek Universe – a piece of the jigsaw puzzle that is the Tenth Doctor’s first full series since 2008. Our prequel finds River meeting Anya Kingdom (Jane Slavin) and Mark Seven (Joe Sims) – two characters that are pivotal to Dalek Universe – and then three of them will reunite in that series as well. How that will play out time, as always, will tell.”
Did David Richardson just confirm that River is in Dalek Universe?

Considering we had more info about The Dalek Protocol yesterday, I was hoping we’d be getting more story info for the first set of DU today...

Okay, I got sidetracked by Gatiss, but it occurs to me that since this is a post-Utopia 10th Doctor, there'd be no problem continuity-wise with Derek Jacobi playing the Master opposite David Tenant again. And now that I've noticed that, I'm not sure I could bear to live in a world where it doesn't happen.... Come on, Big Finish. You've got three box sets here. Make it happen. Am hoping we avoid more of the same ....then it would be just like the War Master Time War stuff...am hoping and I feel that these may be just a little bit more different

We might get a bit more after people have had time to listen to The Diary of River Song 8, given Mechonoids, Anya & Mark Seven are in the last story. It’s probably not heavily linked - in fact, I think we’ve been told it isn’t - but it’s a nice couple of lines to add to the news piece.

Speculating i think its one of the many unannounced projects which makes sense
A) Both David and Derek both are doing Remote Recording B) when they were releasing Volume 5 of The War Master and it came with The War Master Diary/Journal Trailer: {Spoiler} 1:19 to 1:20 You Can hear The 10th Doctor say "The Master"
but yeah i guess time will tell
anyway back to the topic of Dalek Universe....

I think River’s great, particularly with Ten, so I’d be more than happy for her to turn up in Dalek Universe.

Going by the email just gone out, it's been confirmed officially! Gemma Whelan's character is intriguing... only named as 'The Newcomer' which is cryptic and vague... Maybe a character we already know? Also an interesting piece of casting for Volume 3.... {Spoiler} Noma Dumezweni! Hoping she's reprising her role as Cpt. Erisa Magambo.

Some combination of that and "the Doctor's future is never going to be the same" makes me wonder if she's an alternate Doctor... Or I'm totally off base and she's like Davros's daughter or something wild.

The product page has her credited as playing Rodekka, but hopefully that means she'd be game to return as Magambo as well. A UNIT story with Lady Christina in the next batch of 10DAs?

(I'm excited my favourite Davros will possibly meet the Tenth Doctor) That vol3 cover opens up a lot of questions - we know about Mechanoids, Movellans, Davros, the SSS, heck Mark Seven was a Nation creation - will all the Nation Dalek stories get something into this series? Will this feel like a Tenth Doctor season? It's stooped in classic Dalek lore which is gorgeous. I'm glad it's something slightly different while still familiar. This looks better than Time Lord Victorious!

That vol3 cover opens up a lot of questions - we know about Mechanoids, Movellans, Davros, the SSS, heck Mark Seven was a Nation creation - will all the Nation Dalek stories get something into this series? Add in Thals, Robomen and Spiridon and you've got the lot. And with the series getting two prequels, one with Four and one with River I expect a Kraals vs Voord epilogue with one of the other BF Doctors! Actually that reminds me of a different Nation-a-thon idea I scribbled down once. I'll put it under a spoiler tag for its utter irrelevance! Worlds of Terry Nation 1. Kraals vs Voord - the First Doctor, Ian and Barbara land on Oseidon in a more peaceful era and meet the Kraals for the first time... but the Voord are here, having mastered time travel (to get away from a more horrifying enemy) and looking to take Oseidon by any means necessary!
2. Blake's 7 - the Second Doctor and Jamie land aboard the Liberator and are pulled into the political landscape of the time. Davros appears here briefly, influencing events.
3. Survivors - the Third Doctor ends up in a bleak possible future while attempting to fix the TARDIS, meeting Abby Grant and Jenny Richards, two survivors of a hideous plague. He is able to communicate with Jo through equipment salvaged from the ruins of his UNIT laboratory, but must avert the mysterious Death before the Earth is lost forever!
4. The Daleks - the Fourth Doctor puts the pieces together and stops Davros from remaking the universe to suit his own ends. Guest stars appear from other series!

This would be epic (not least because an official Blake's 7 x Doctor Who/Daleks crossover is LONG overdue)
