Really like the cover. The paint style is lovely, it makes the range distinctive but it also is a nice nod to it being a recast; much better than the blacked out Third Doctor. I do wish he was in the Eighth Doctor’s gear, given we know this is straight after the events of The Night of the Doctor, but a minor quibble.
What surprised me is the recast Ohila. I know it probably shouldn’t given the main role is recast, but Clare Higgins is very much with us, has done Doctor Who audio work and the character’s appearance has never changed, so no need for a younger actor. It’ll be interesting to see future announcements and what they do about returning characters. This may be a range that’s the further adventures of the War Doctor, but also intentionally distanced in the recast category. Sort of like the First Doctor Adventures.

Love how the artwork has such an artistic theme to it. Especially using John Hurt's younger appearance. Job. Well. Done.

Love the painting. Really wish they'd just make that... the default aapproach. Quite a few of the photoshopped covers just... aren't great, and it would certainly give them a lot more freedom with posing, facial expressions, and costuming.
I'd almost say I'd like to see them make new, painted covers for older releases... but looking at my Kindle library, I'm all too-award that replacement covers are not always better.

I'm not hugely fond of this Time War business, but the trailer and cover for this are magnificent. I'm getting very tempted!

No offence, but why does he remind me of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins?

i might be in the minority here but i am not a huge fan of the cover- i know its artistic and such but most of it looks blurry and out of focus especially the Daleks but i suppose its not a bad cover compared to say Shadow of The Scourge I am not too keen on the fact they recasted Ohila with another actress that doesn't sound remotely like Clare Higgins i found it incredibly jarring from the clip
