I actually pre-ordered this. The previous anthologies were pretty good. And Lisa is always good value. She is a very good reader. And I am desperately in need for some light-hearted stories spreading some festive atmosphere and cheer. There won't be much around outside this year.

I'm about halfway through this now and the stories seem to be varied with the opening one from Mark Clapham being the weakest while Signifiers of the Verphidiae was the most fun. I'm in the middle of Sophie Iles' The Frosted Deer which has some really nice Benny/Brax character work, set I believe before the end of Series 8.

So are these essentially short stories? About how long is each one?

As of my walk into town today, I'm currently halfway through this and am enjoying it so far.
Tap - A decent 'closed circle' story and a fun enough start to the set.
Null Ziet - To be honest, I can't remember much of this story, but I did enjoy listening to it during my walk into town on Monday...
Glory To The Reborn King - A slow build-up for a tense story.
Signifiers of the Verphidiae - A great story with an interesting premise and build-up but, at eighty-odd minutes, it did drag a little for me in places.
The Frosted Deer - I'm currently about halfway through this one and am enjoying it so far (especially Benny & Braxiatel's interactions). Edit - Weirdly sweet, I found the ending of this one weirdly sweet...

On my walk to/from work today I finished off the set. I'm not going to say that it's my favourite BF release of the year but, as festive anthologies go, I did really rather enjoy it!
Collector's Item - A decent enough character piece.
Santa Benny - Fun but weird, fun but weird...
BS & The Christmas Adventure - I'm going to need a hot minute to process that one...
White Christmas - Like the previous couple, kinda weird, but the ending was sweet!
Wise Women - 'Quiet' as finales go, but I found it ok-enough as journey stories go, but I will say that I did absolutely love the 'reflection' at the end!

So I don't know how far into this I am.... it's long... but I'm loving the ride so far. The squid monsters story is definitely my favorite thus far, though now I'm on the one with the (really badly-accented) A Eric an TV crew and am loving all the jokes at Benny's expense.

I finished the first story and started the second. I liked it. It is a nice start and Lisa does a great job narrating- as usual. I also like that they added some sound effects.

Yeah, after finishing it, I was pretty impressed. Not a fan of audiobooks, in general, but I definitely plan on buying the new ones that are coming out this year. Bowerman is very experienced as a voice actor, and it really shows... her performances are impeccable.
That said, her impression of Brax was a bit... iffy.
