Looking forward to it. The War Master is one of my favourites and his range has been great on the whole. I’m up for pairing him with Jo & Nyssa; they both have history with the Master, so it’s absolutely justified. Big Finish have done some lovely stuff with Jo Jones and I’m hoping they pick up on Nyssa around the time of A Heart on Both Sides; it’d seem logical given the Time War theme.
A loosely connected arc will make a nice change and not something we’ve really had since the first set. Alexandria Riley is always good value too.

I've pre-ordered 'Killing Time' already! Looking forward to it with Sarah Sutton's Nyssa meeting Sir Derek Jacobi's Master. Have to listen to the first five War Master box sets in the meantime during 2021! Tim.

TLDR: Without giving any spoilers for this or earlier volumes, can anyone who's listened to it say if vol. 6 feels like “the end” of the story?
I enjoyed the free first ep of the first volume, and I love Derek Jacobi, so I'm probably going to get the vol. 1-4 bundle when I can afford to.
After that, there's a bundle of volumes 5-6, and no further vols. have been announced. Some ranges have bundles which include titles a year or more away from release, which makes we wonder if there are ever going to be any more WM volumes.
I asked BF and they said the current bundling doesn't necessarily mean there won't be any more, but of course they couldn't say whether or not they have any planned.
So from the POV of the story, does it feel like 6 is/should be the finale?
Falling that, any evidence/rumours/conspiracy theories of volumes 7 and beyond being worked on?

Er, might be a little while until you get a proper response on this - Killing Time comes out in August!

Well no idea on the story content for obvious reasons but Handcock seems to still be working with Jacobi, as I think he put up a picture of them together on Twitter the other day, which could be for more War Master or something else entirely.

I can give you a proper response now; “the end” has already happened in a previous set. I can’t say any more due to spoilers, though, which you’ve understandably said you want to avoid.

Volume 1 Only The Good was suppose to be a One Off Boxset Then We got Volume 2-4 which was suppose to be the end Then we got Volume 5 and 6
The Thing is though if people are continuing to buy the range and if Derek Jacobi is happy to continue at Big Finish we will still be getting heaps of War Master Boxsets i mean we still have to see if The War Master meets The War Doctor or Rassilon or Susan, etc

As far as I know it's... 2, 3, 5, 4, 1 but I've missed a couple so I might be off on some details.

"For centuries, the Stagnant Protocol has been forgotten by the universe: an empire populated by a race that can never advance… a race the Master seeks to seize control of.
Unfortunately for him, he has a rival – Calantha – and she understands how to manipulate the system better than he could ever hope. His only chance of defeating her lies in the hands of some old acquaintances, whether they realise it or not. "

I wonder if the range will have a natural conclusion or will Big Finish be continuing to create more and more audios with Jacobi i mean im happy to see more but agian the more you have of something the less value it can accrued

So I imagine as long as it continues to sell and Jacobi is happy to continue in the role we’ll more than likely get more stories down the line.

OK mixed feelings on this one
Very well preformed as always from all involved.
However its very drastic outcomes for our legacy characters for a petty accomplishment for our central character in terms of this boxset, basically even if you like him, his actions here earn him a set back or bloody nose next time.

I’ve only listened to The Sincerest Form of Flattery so far.
It’s very dense. Plenty of intense dialogue and world building and a few times I lost track a little bit. In the end it all made sense, but I think a relisten will pick up on more details. I love the black humour. Combined with the story beats it’s not dissimilar to The Master of Callous so far.
