Is it really that he cannot act or is it that he just has such a distinctive vocal? It is really that he cannot act. 😂👍

I think it's because Nick has such a distinctive voice myself, one that we are used to hearing in so many different things over the years. Even most aliens that he voices with effects come across to my ears as Nick Briggs doing a funny voice. It's not a complaint, it's just the way it is when a small company uses the same actors in different roles.

Small company yes...but it’s now not necessary so they should quit doing it lol if Nick has to do a voice they should just go NOOOOOOOO if they ever get to doing Jekyll I hope he ain’t in it but alas...somehow he will be

Verdict - meh....
Best of the bunch so far, which I guess is a good thing - you never want to get worst as a series progresses. Frankly TLV has so far failed to find anything to hook my interest. I find myself bored while listening to them. Watched the first Dalek episode - and all I can say is that it was nothing more than Nick talking to himself.
I suspect I am in the minority, but I think the Dalek need to be given a long hiatus. They are over exposed and poorly written. And I'm saying that as someone who has always loved the Daleks.

No I agree, Daleks are so overused & very rarely are they given something interesting to do. Shadow of the Daleks was interesting but that is an exception. Keeps Briggs in acting work I guess.

I enjoyed that. Probably the first Dalek story since Conquest of Far or first McGann story since The War Valeyard that I enjoyed.
*Day of the Master is a Master story that has McGann cameos and he’s not in Companion Piece.

Enjoyable Paul McGann is giving high energy, Nick gives 2 decent Daleks and its decent follow up for the Devolver aspect of TLV from the ST Master Thief Regards mark687

I actually quite enjoyed this. It wasn't mind-blowing or anything, but it was a fun run around. I did find the characterisations of the new kinds of Daleks a bit strange though, but that might have been less surprising if I'd been able to experience a bit more of Time Lord Victorious before listening to this (I've only heard the four audios and seen the first episode of Daleks! at the moment). I'm not quite sure what the deal is with all these new Daleks that have never been seen before, but I'm sure that will all be explained in some of the other stuff (when it finally arrives...).

I wasn't too sure about this whole TLV thing. At first it seems to be just another range with no point to it But then I heard this 2nd BF release .. and I enjoyed this At the end of it, I started getting a picture of what this whole TLV is .. and it might be a good range So I will stick with the audio and see where it goes. (I've never really got into the other media of DW universe - only interested in TV and BF - so hope fans who follow all the other media, get enjoyment from the whole TLV)

Oh dear, I'm really not diggin these TLV 8th Doctor audios. This, like the first one, was a bit, well, shanty. Certainly TLV for me, The Last Visit !

Loved this one it has me very intrigued as to were this is all going, the Daleks were once again very well written & at there devious evilness best while Paul McGann gave another amazing performance as the Eighth Doctor.
60 minutes of top notch audio drama.

Hm... I never noticed any issues with the acting, but I tend to have more difficulty assessing acting--I find the writing tends to get in the way.
Anyway overall it was a pretty good story, easily the best of the TLV audios thus far, and it left me pretty excited to see what the third story will be like. My only issue was the ending, where it felt like the Doctor was being a bit too "dim," or gullible, or what have you. He's acting far too trusting of the Daleks, and when they pulled that fake out--where the Doctor acts like he knew what the Daleks were talking about--I fully expected him to reveal that, yeah, he did know, because the way the story was written him doing anything else would feel too out of character.

If I were to have one complaint about an otherwise excellent story - theStrategist should have has a “sixties Dalek gun effect” rather than the standard “Time War Dalek gun effect”. He’s old, make him sound old.

I decided to take the plunge and got the bundle and this was first I listened to and treating it as a stand alone adventure it pretty much stood out more than most of the TIME WAR releases. how it fits in to the whole TLV am not even sure I care tbh but for an hours Doctor Who and a McGann against the Daleks I thought it was pretty enjoyable...
