Nice to hear the first episode of The Gulf. Quite impressed and if there was an option to just buy the Sarah Jane story I would take it.
I wonder what plans they have for the Third Doctor next year. I assume he will have to conform to the three disc set structure.

I do hope not. Hands off the 3DAs! We're Third Doctor fans, we know what to do - time for "Nuthutch mode" - get your placards and off to a demo with Jo...
"What do we want? Four discs! When do we want them? Twice yearly!"

I can see them doing a four-disc set every year as well as a three-disc set every year for the 3DAs. Two 4-parters and a 6-parter. I seem to recall a while ago they said that existing ranges would stick to their disc numbers? For example, UNIT: Nemesis - all four volumes will contain four discs.

I would agree if it wasn’t for what Big Finish are doing with the Fourth Doctor Adventures.
Therefore I would be shocked and disappointed (that’s disappointed that my beloved 4DAs had to conform, but the 3DAs didn’t) if they keep the same four disc format.

Does that mean The 1DA and 3DA are going to get an extra story?

Wonder which logo they'll use on the reversible cover- Season 7 or Season 11?

Went with The Gulf to start with traditional but with more emotional beats and an interesting Casting brief in general.

If The Unzal Incursion doesn't remind you of a certian MCU plot on a ITC budget nothing will,
Full Throttled Thriller fun.

Just started The Unzal Incursion and I loved ...
{Spoiler} ... the double opening theme music-with-sting. It's killing me: there was an early television story featuring The Third Doctor that first did this. Wasn't it an episode of The Silurians, or The Ambassadors of Death, can anyone remember?
Either way, it's wonderful and fitting that this first occurred during the original Series 7, and now takes place in audio Series 7!

Ambassadors introduced the sting and had its title appear sequentially with a sound effect:
The Ambassadors *PEW!!* OF DEATH!!
(doesn't quite work with The Unzal... *PEW!!* INCURSION!! though...)

Lots of nice little continuity references in this. It never hits you over the head with them, but they're there.

Not as far along as I hoped, but loving the start of the Unzal Incursion. I always love Liz as a foil for the Doctor, and the story is building nicely. I’m going to relish this story

(doesn't quite work with The Unzal... *PEW!!* INCURSION!! though...) {Spoiler}Maybe it's a mix of Ambassadors and Silurians? " Doctor Who and *PUHTEOW!* THE UNZAL INCURSION!" Oh, hang on... Maybe we see the episode title and the *ZAP* is a brief glimpse to an important, out-of-context shot from later in the episode itself? Part of me is still a bit disappointed they didn't go with the style of " The Ambassadors *PWTWANG!* OF DEATH!" in the end. I can understand why, though. From a production standpoint, it could get cumbersome pretty quickly and it chews into the runtime of the episode's opening something fierce. This might have been a Michael Ferguson thing as each of his directed stories have unique title cards (barring Axos). My favourite's still got to be The Seeds of Death. Still, it's fun to speculate what things might have looked like if it had stuck:

Most importantly does the Third Doctor get to say "reverse the polarity"?
7 volumes in 14 stories but still no sign of this iconic line.

Most importantly does the Third Doctor get to say "reverse the polarity"? 7 volumes in 14 stories but still no sign of this iconic line. That’s pretty standard. He only said it once during the whole Pertwee era. Edited to add - oh, hold on - that’s with ‘neutron flow’, isn’t it? As you were.
