Great news, really enjoyed Dynasties & Dracula in the format. Glad Doctor Who is getting the treatment.
I’d be surprised if it was an upscale just for putting on iPlayer, but it’s the HDR where you can typically see the difference.

So a slight tangent, but one related to 'why doesn't Chibnall go back to Christmas?': Even with a captive audience thanks to COVID, the highest performing drama only pulled 5.4M, while the Queen's Speech, a big national event, squeaked past 6. www.bbc.com/mediacentre/2020/christmas-day-ratings

Maybe a stupid question and most likely nobody here knows. I ask anyways. The last festive specials, I could pre-order days in advance on amazon and itunes. This time, this is notably absent. So for people outside the UK and the US, there is no chance to actually stream this tomorrow? (legally, I mean, without jumping through complicated teck wizard hoops) Oh well, means we lowly fans from exotic locations have to wait.

I can't guarantee anything, unfortunately, but ABC iView have been trying to push for region-free content with their app and website. With any luck, it might show up for viewing not tomorrow, but the day after?

I don’t know exactly how it works but I have heard if you use a VPN you can change or hide your online location , that way you could possibly watch the special on a British or American streaming service. I think there are some VPNs that are free or at least haven free trials. Hope this helps 🙂
