Something haunts the peak of Ben MacDui.
Something with heavy footsteps, striking terror in the hearts of those who sense it. With climbers going missing, retired Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart visits Scotland to investigate.
But when some old friends join his ascent, he worries that they will make things even more dangerous. As the snows blow in, and mists surround them, the Doctor, Ace and the Brigadier will face the Grey Man of the Mountain...

I've pre-ordered (and downloaded) both, but given that I'm working today & probably only have time to listen to one of these in full, Iiiiii think this one's going to have to be the priority...

Just started listening to it kinda really confused which year its set in
{Spoiler} The Brigadier looks like he is Late in Battlefield which was set in 1995 but the waitress in the episodes mentions Wifi and Vlogging so it would be in the 21st Century which doesn't line up with either Minute in Hell or The Brig's Appearance in The Sarah Jane Adventures

Just started listening to it kinda really confused which year its set in Which proves it's an authentic UNIT-related story... It's anyone's guess which decade most of the Brig's TV adventures took place in, never mind which year!

I've just finished part 1 &, whilst I will say that The Doctor & Then Brigadiar's meeting is a little... Convenient, I'm enjoying it so far!

Solid Season 26/ Early New Adventurers style fair JC is easier on the ear as the older Brig 7th nudges things along but its not cosmic game player level.
Ace is more carefree and caring
It almost evokes more Sherlock Holmes then DW
Good Effort

Haven’t listened to it yet...does it dispel the rumours that we don’t have pipes in Scotland or Toilets ?

I listened to most of this before work today aaaaand certainly enjoyed it! I will say that it 7/The Brig's meeting did feel a little... Convenient though (but that's more of a nitpick than a genuine complaint).
I do think I'll need to re-listen to the story at some point in the future, as I think I missed a couple of bits at the end due to listening to the last 15minutes during my break & kept getting distracted.

It did use his form to communicate in Zagreus, after all! Indeed so (but then who doesn't? ). I did enjoy the story (though I do need to re-listen to part 4 due to getting distracted in the break room whilst I listened to the last 15minutes), but The Doctor & Ace just happening to show up at some random hotel in the middle of nowhere whilst The Brigadier happened to be there felt a little "let's go with that...". It's more a nitpick for me than anything else.

And the use of Scottish actresses even during lockdown was this recorded remotely?Yes it was....may it be one of the last lol Culshaw and Sylvester work well together and the pairing of Ace and Kirsty....you would think they were in the same room recording so close are the bonds and Yousseff very good at his double characters swore it was two different actors.

Good cliffhanger and resolution to episode 2. I always think Sylvesters title tune although too comic book in graphics is the most stirring and hopeful of all the themes...you know you are safe with that theme for some reason
i wonder what story Ace narrated? What is it about Ace in this it’s mature understated performance low key Ace and it’s wonderful

I really enjoyed this a lot how eerie this was listening To Jon Culshaw near the end and realising he isn’t Nicholas he is so good at it that I am in no doubt it’s Nicholas. I think for me Sophie and Lucy were the highlights it was a believable bonding through adversity and it would be cool {Spoiler} For a reunion between the two(and not a reunion in the way Sophie implies in the extras, maybe it’s just my mind ,the kiss was just a kiss the kiss of someone who was grateful for her help seeing her through adverse events....it’s a sign of our time I think that everything has to be somehow sexualised it NEVER even entered my mind the kiss could be more)
And top marks for the chronology I joke at the end.
