done a few listens to this now and it’s such a great BF release.A greatly enjoyable Sixie and a wonderful vehicle for Peri.I think from such a fantastically vivid moody cover the work was half done in the visualisation department so brilliantly done by Tom Newsom .It’s such a great supporting cast even down to the poor old chickens.Great tale all in all and wonderful script by Mr Chapman it could be my favourite listen of the Lockdown 2020/21

Could easily see this mid-Season 22 and the relationship between the pair getting better. Would have made for a more sympathetic portrayal of the Doctor and you could get that he knows who is friends are and is loyal to them. Would have allowed for a more nuanced approach - a bit like the colours of Sixie's jacket! Really good story, I agree.

Isnt it strange that is what really put me off the series as well...back in the day now it’s iconic hahaha.

Re-listened to this. Still an amazing story and one of the highlights of 2021. Shows the real potential here of Sixie and Peri.
Formidable! The final episode is particularly outstanding and I love the way that Peri defends Sixie here.

Very, very behind on my listening, just did this one the other day. I kind of wish it had been a pure historical, but the sci fi elements were excellently handled, so I can't really complain. Quite happy with this.

Just finished listening to this. Lots of fun.
The Z22 was royally glitching in order to always be looking for The Pimpernel and not Argana.
It seemed a slight misstep in how slow The Doctor and Peri were in figuring out how much "Percy" was lying. The Z22 kept on going on how it was trying to bring "justice" to The Pimpernel and yet they did not seem to address that until they heard the real story from the hologram.
Overall, though, quite a delight.
P.S. Somewhere in the house I think I have a collection of 4 Scarlet Pimpernel novels. I read the first one ages ago and maybe the second.

This was a fun story and I totally wasn't expecting the plot twist, which made it so much more interesting.
I have to admit, I only had the vaguest notion of who or what the Scarlet Pimpernel was before listening to this release.
