To continue Leela’s education, the Doctor promises to take her to the famous Morovanian Museum. But the TARDIS lands instead in a quiet English village, where they meet the enigmatic collector Harcourt and his family. When people start to die, reality doesn’t appear quite what it was. There’s something sinister going on within the walls of Harcourt’s manor, and the stakes are higher than they can imagine. The Doctor is about to discover that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing
Thought I would slip back in time. Now on my original listens I somehow got the feeling when listening to Tom that he was more LITTLE BRITAIN Tom than Timelord Tom but now playing this I do not feel it at all.It was a wise decision when bringing back Tom to put him up against an equally intimidating actor someone who could equal him and they definitely got that with Ian McNeice some great interaction between them and Tom and Louise have a great rapport there’s also the little thing of not having Nick in it playing the smaller parts in fact that honour goes to John Dorney 😂😂 but he can slip into a role and change his voice so you do not immediately recognise him and you don’t jump out of the story by the distraction,it’s a bit like Hitchcock appearing in his own, there is a moment that the story spell gets broken.
But on this relisten it’s a great story glad to have it in my catalogue-2 parters -four parters -years of listening pleasures Runnyscience was fab

I just listened to this last week. It's a great story. I had forgotten that dorney was in it, and it was a great little surprise when I heard his voice. I love both The Omega Factor and Farewell, Great Macedon so much I can now pretty much pick out his voice in other stories as well.

It’s not so much picking out his voice it’s that his voice doesn’t intrude in on the listening

The first Big Finish release I tried That was because of the combination of Tom Baker, it's presence on the shelves of bookshop Waterstones and them not having Destination: Nerva If I hadn't enjoyed it, I wouldn't be still listening to Big Finish (and on this site)

As much as I think the Fourth Doctor Adventures as a range didn’t really come into its own until much later on, I do feel like it produced some gems in its early years. This one included.
