I am an honest to goodness fan of Flip she has the bubbly cheekiness kind of reminiscent of perhaps a younger Lucie Miller but I kind of looked at this Cd and my memories of it were very very vague for some reason...am about to rectify that now. Immediately it evokes with the Drachee....a generation of people who think hyenas and the like are the cute cuddly type of Disney evoked characters all cute...until they bite in real life.

Usually, I'm not keen on audio releases that are reliant on synthesised voices. They often end up sounding very much the same. But this is the exception: I love Andrew Smith's Hartnell-esque story, and the many scuttling, crawling creatures sound pretty convincing. Nice sound design too. A bit of an unsung classic, this!

I know what slightly jaded me “Living Planets” after that disaster MOON one of Capaldis -But relistening now it’s wonderfully atmospheric and I still have no firm visual of the Drachee but they are vocally really good to listen too but Flip is great in it against them. It’s a pretty strange thing an effect of the stress of work and the restrictions of lockdown that my listening pleasure has enhanced ten fold the life of constant rush of essentially just rushing about for rushing sake I have actually stripped back to the things I actually do enjoy-being with my family and friends and solitary pleasures of enjoying an audio book or a dramatisation with/out my mind having a thousand needless worries that when looking back we’re not enhancing my life. This is a great script great soundscape and interesting story and great wee scenes too-Flip Christening a Drachee 😂😉 Brian Shelley-wonderful rich vocal for Erys

Well this was certainly so much better than I remembered it story perhaps of a mother and her children but full of great audio dramatic moments and the Erys becoming a creature (sounds vaguely familiar (don’t know why😉). it goes at a good dramatic pace and `Colin is on fine form and superb performances especially from Nicola Sian and definitely Brian Shelley (not someone regularly used on BF) so glad I decided to relisten to it have enjoyed it immensely and definitely is an interesting take on the Living Planet. If Flip(Lisa Greenwood) is an acquired taste then I acquired it long ago she works well as a solo companion,go see Stage Fright and Wirrn Isle and with Constance.
The last moments the little flash back to memories of the Doctors Past wonderful stuff
