Not a favourite of mine, but I did find it an enjoyable listen as I walked home from work throughout this week...

Personally, I wouldn't say getting the limited edition of Masterful for this release is worth it. It's a perfectly serviceable story, but there's nothing particularly special about it. It's seems to have been written purely to include Delgado in the anniversary celebrations in some capacity, but I think they'd almost have been better off releasing it separately as it doesn't feel that remarkable a story. Like I say, it's not bad as such, it's just not particularly memorable. For audiobook purposes, I think Culshaw's Delgado is fine, but I'd be a bit disappointed if they decided to use him in The Third Doctor Adventures. He's only really good at Delgado's slow menace as he's about to hypnotise someone; he doesn't have any vocal range for the character beyond that, and there was a LOT more vocal range to the character than that. I also don't think his Pertwee impression is as good as other people say either, but then I think Chris Thompson's Troughton is pretty bad so what do I know?

So do folks who listened to the audiobook think it's worth getting the limited edition of Masterful just to get the audiobook?
I already own the included short trips, so, on the face of it, getting the limited edition seemed like it might be a waste of money.

With Overseas per Order Charge that would apply to you I'd say its your choice. If you like the Era its an enjoyable tale. Regards mark687

Regards mark687 You are correct that the shipping and per order charge makes the cost for the CD set prohibitive. There is an option to buy the limited edition as a download only, but it's still a lot more money that the standard edition. If I get limited edition for the limited edition content, I'd get download. Still not sure if it's worth it.
