I've thoroughly enjoyed every entry in this series so far, so I find myself surprised by the way I feel about the announcement of two further sets. One of things that had me most excited about The Robots is that we knew exactly what it was going to be right from the outset - four three-disc box sets, each episode representing one month for the year Liv was away.
Had all the stories been Liv and Tula stories, then one month each would have made more sense. Since we had 3 Toos and Poul stories that left room for one more set of Liv and Tula. We appear to be getting 2 sets, but I guess we'll have to wait and see just what those are.
At least these 4 sets got to the end of the Skellen plotline, though we don't know yet who he was working for and exactly what his motivations were. Definitely weird that the actor and writer were one and the same and he killed himself off.
I have not yet listened to the interviews at the end of The Janus Deception. I definitely was quite confused by the revelations of Closed Loop - that throughout this whole series Poul was a robot? That somewhere in this series Toos was replaced? Or has she been one the whole time? I am leaning towards that Toos was replaced during this set of thre stories, but I can't recall enough about them to figure out when. Maybe I need to listen to the Closed Loop interview again.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the next 2 volumes in May 2022 and Feb 2023.
