The TARDIS lands on Phobos, moon of Mars - where extreme sports nuts of the future indulge their passion for gravity-boarding and wormhole-jumping. But there's something lurking in the shadows, something infinitely old and infinitely dangerous. It's not for nothing that 'Phobos' is the ancient word for 'fear'...
One I haven’t heard that much off in my listening rounds even when Lucie Millering it...time to rectify

Aside from I think the ending, I can’t remember a single thing about this one.

Yes it’s strange I mean Timothy West and Nerys Hughes...should be more firmly planted in my memory too but am remembering something now of why I didn’t quite enjoy part of Timothys character in this but more of that when I finish

Honestly i can’t remember much neither, certainly have more vivid memory's (and actively enjoy) both stories either side. That being said i do remember enjoying it more than most as i read reviews after and they were quite low which i disagreed with. That being said it probably is just very middle of the road considering i can’t remember sod about it but hey ho.

It might be that there is such a wealth of Doctor Who material from Big Finish that it’s only natural that a few stories end up falling by the wayside. I’m a bit like that with Absolute Power myself from the Main Range. Although that might just be because that one was sandwiched between the Stained Glass Dalek story and Flip’s return.

Well there’s a hairy beastie and a hint of a gay romance and plenty of 80s sounding dialogue “Drennies” but It is fair zipping along and there is a very Matt Smith moment from Paul which is simply superb that the Doctor uses when threatened Eight definitely comes across very menacingly

And there it is the moment that I thought was kind of wrong Timothy West’s character gets off too lightly in this ,ok he loses his partner but there isn’t any justice. McGann though through the script does deliver a powerful Doctor using HIs fears to contain the entity especially the fears of what HE himself could be capable of...all in all a most welcome revisiting and a gay angle that doesn’t feel as if it is inserted just to tick diversity boxes
Lucies final line about the Doctor really mirrors what would come in Nu Who angles

It is interesting coming back after two years away and seeing what i remember and what i don’t. Theres been a handful of stories that i just simply don’t remember (the sandman was one, davros i also had trouble recalling large parts) yet there are some that are clear as day, obviously just luck of the draw really what sticks and what disappears. Especially with the lack of visuals to remember.
