Fun set of stories. John Dorney's contribution in particular was very creative, clever, and funny!

I haven't listened to this yet, but want to note that I'd rather they release these things individually as short trips or in some mini-range devoted to sets of short stories unless there is a substantive arc running through each. For the amount one pays per episode for a MR subscription, I would rather have my monthly episode be one 1.5h-2h story.

I wouldn't call it a substantive arc, but this release does have a thread running through that links all four stories. Non-spoilery timeline note: at one point in the last story, Ace says to the Doctor "even after Hex," which firmly places this release post-Signs & Wonders. I'd suggest this is pre-Benny, but that's certainly open to debate.

4 Fun Shorts
And although I said spoilers i'll tag this just in case
{Spoiler} The linking theme: is the TARDIS looking for Mel?
If so why?
And why has "She" tried to do it independently of the Doctor?
The MR's end 2015 in fine form.

I enjoyed these stories, found them very distinct and struggling to pick a favourite!

And I wouldn't mind the return of the 3+1 format from time to time either.

Great set of stories and nicely played twist about the chronological placement. It seems with Mel's return that the key might be place for Ace's depature.....

mark687 maybe she sees his future as Time's Champion and wants him to make amends to Mel?

mark687 maybe she sees his future as Time's Champion and wants him to make amends to Mel? {Spoiler} Maybe. But because BF introduce the TV Movie Console room effect during the Hex run I always think they occur after the NA's and the Time's Champion stuff.

Ace seems glimpses of possible futures in "Signs and Wonders", including one from the NAs, which confirms that the Hex run takes place before the NA.

OR take place before Hex? otherwise TV movie console effects being in the Hex run but not Novel Adaptation Audios make no sense IMO (and you cant count the alternate 3rd Doctor TARDIS as all the novels adapted so far occur before Bloodheat)

I think you're putting way too much emphasis on that. Why shouldn't the Doctor be able to mess with his console room's "theme" whenever he likes? Or have a couple of similar "themes", the way that Eleven's first console room was similar to but different from Ten's?

While it's never explicitly stated, it's heavily implied that the version of the console room used by the Seventh Doctor, Ace and Hex is the cathedral one from the TV Movie. Ace mentions they've been redecorating just prior to The Settling. The cover and inlay art for Forty-Five shows the TARDIS doors opening into the TV movie console room. In House of Blue Fire the interior is described as a cathedral. When Ace and Hex board the Black TARDIS at the end of Protect and Survive (the same TARDIS from House of Blue Fire), they don't comment on the interior, indicating that's the same model they're used to. Dialog in Black and White mentions a chair in the console room, something noticeably absent from the console room we see the Seventh Doctor using on TV.

He might have gone back and forth, switching back to the old console room in the NAs and then going back to the TV movie one again.

I loved this collection. Every story was fun and entertaining. You Are The Daleks was really clever.
I'm in the camp that really likes having these anthologies every so often. It's a nice change of pace and sometimes there are stories to be told in a short amount of time that deserve to be full cast.

I liked the stories. The first was excellent. But I wish Ace's characterisation would move forward. I though that these took place early on, until she mentioned Hex.
I wish they would allow her to mature.
