I loved this collection. Every story was fun and entertaining. You Are The Daleks was really clever. I'm in the camp that really likes having these anthologies every so often. It's a nice change of pace and sometimes there are stories to be told in a short amount of time that deserve to be full cast. They are the kind of stories that benefit from not being padded out with superfluous characters and subplots. Just a single, clear idea that shines through. The anthologies also mean that we get 16 new Main Range stories instead of 13, and a chance to try out more new writers. It's a good test for new writers, if they can nail one main story thread with two or three guest cast in 25 minutes, they have a better chance with handling four episodes, several different plotlines and more characters. Matt Fitton is an excellent example of this.

I loved, no, ADORED the first story.
I don't know about anyone else but I had the Choose Your Own Adventure Doctor Who books with Colin's Doctor as the star. Search For The Doctor and Race Against Time were well thumbed books when I was a kid!
So I was predisposed to like this but it somehow manages to be more than the gimmick. The reveal of why events are unfolding in that form is very satisfying.

This was my fave of the anthology releases in many a year. The conceit in the first one was so clever and so well done. Amazed no one had done it before, actually!
Delightful stuff, leading into next year's MR trilogy for 7 as well. Consider me intrigued now.

I think one of my favourite lines in a BF story in a long, long time is the line where Keith asks the listener to choose between The Doctor performing surgery or....Aces adventures doing admin work. Culshaw delivers it like it's this great epic task when she's just filing. So funny.

He's a comedy genius that man.

He's a comedy genius that man. Could well be, if so, I beg your pardon - though it's in the writing as much as in the acting. It was very unexpected at that point. To treat finding out about such a dull workaday task as doing admin like it's this great decision..I really did laugh. When you said in the extras that you wrote this one very quickly, I think that shows (in a good way). What could be just a concept becomes a really fun listen and like all my favourite "funny" Who has a more sombre moment later (in this case the Resurrectionists torturous existence.) I think Ken's right that it would be difficult for an hour story or even a full MR one but it's perfect for the more experimental format bending annual anthology release. Very nice to hear Jon regardless. He's never been afraid to shout about his Who-love though I don't personally know if he's a fan of Big Finish.

I just listened to these stories last week, and just read the writers' notes.
Fun group of stories, I enjoyed all of them. Though it did take me a while to figure out what was going on in the first.
