Always nice to see Sil and the Ice Warriors make an appearance but I’m afraid for this one it was a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. From the Doctor’s old school bully making an appearance to a literal gender war, there are far too many ideas in this with not enough focus on any of them to make it compelling.
What did you all think?

Haven’t got to,it yet though I know the bully does get his come up-acne in Antidote to Oblivion which I relistened to recently as it’s one of the very few I have to listen to it will get its turn very very soon

I shall repeat and elaborate more on what i said the other day.
I really enjoyed it! I do love that era of who though especially the Philip Martin Stories so i am probably slightly very biased (i even enjoyed Creed of the Kromon, though i wouldn’t say either story is close to being a masterpiece. I think i must just like his style. Need to get around to watching gangsters one of these days...) Its a fun entertaining story that genuinely feels would have been on telly at the time. The different plot elements are juggled rather nicely i thought, certainly about as good as some pf the nee series stories handle they’re two parters at times. I also love the ice warriors in this one. Yes they kinda just do they’re own thing but i like how they’re motives are simple (might even be one if my favourite uses of the Ice Warriors, tho i can’t say i massively rate their other stories. Sil is amazing (reminds me i still have to watch the sil film thing...that'll be fun!) Definitely can see why people dislike it tho it is very cliched and “of its time”. I found it thoroughly entertaining though and at the end of the day thats why we consume media, to be entertained.
