It's nice that these are finally being realised, but no CD release is a deal-breaker for me.

It's nice that these are finally being realised, but no CD release is a deal-breaker for me. It may be that they are seeing how many pre-orders they get before considering a CD release, although its great to hear the unmade stories in some form, the single narrator audiobook format isn't for everyone, and some may simply miss Trevor Baxter's prescence too much, perhaps a CD release hadn't been figured into the budget into what is a bonus release for one of BF's arguably more niche ranges. I do think BF is moving towards a download only release pattern anyway, slowly but surely (it would probably be a deal breaker for me as well, if the 8th Doctor range went download only, but let's face it CD collectors are a tiny minority in a digital age, and BF probably don't have the budget or set up for a print on demand CD service)

Marvellous. Made my day that has. Still the greatest Doctor Who spin off ever and I’ll gladly fight anyone who says otherwise.
Queensbury rules, naturally.

Audiobook isn't my favourite format but I'm so looking forward to this, just because it's more Jago & Litefoot. I'm glad that they're adapting the planned stories, but I wouldn't mind if they did further adventures as audiobook sets.

I’d honestly be up for seeing a few more Short Trips for Jago and Litefoot myself. You could always reframe said short stories as muckypup suggested as coming from the recently discovered journal of Henry Gordon Jago. Perhaps recently unearthed by UNIT from one of their Black Archives.

Not a fan of audiobooks but I might make an exception for more Jago & Litefoot. I wonder if they'd ever do a recast & who would fit the role? Or give Jago a new partner like they did with Professor Dunning in The Scarifyers. Of course Christopher Benjamin may not want to.

Hooray! I was wondering aloud the other day about when these scripts would be adapted and released. Delightful to have more J&L at last.

Awesome. I quite enjoyed that range and six more hours with stories of the gents in Victorian London are very welcome, even in audiobook form.

Well, that's some great news to start off the week! (Not that I've heard series 13 yet, I am one of those who would have liked a CD release of this as well... Hey ho, maybe I'll get round to listening to these two eventually! )

OMG I cannot put in to words just how many different emotions went through me when I saw this. Surprise, pleasure, disappointment, curiosity, to name but a few.
Just looking at the cover transported me back in time when series 14 could actually have been a reality. That is proper Jago & Litefoot series 14 with Trevor and Christopher.
Unfortunately that can never be.
Obviously as a CD collector I am very disappointed that this isn’t going to be available as physical purchase, however if that running time of 480 minutes, that’s EIGHT hours, is to be believed I can understand why they did this as a download only purchase.
More Jago & Litefoot is very gratefully received, but I am not sure about having four different narrators in the same set. I suppose that logistically having one narrator and then having Jago, Ellie and Quick voice their own lines would be too much to organise. But it might have helped make these stories feel more in keeping with what has gone before. But then perhaps that would make Trevor’s absence even more noticeable.

I have burned a couple "digital only" stories to a blank cd for my personal use in the past. 1 of them was the Davros" story.

I definitely wouldn’t want a recast. like we have all said before “Tales from The red Tavern” type narrations even if they are on download.

As much as I love J&L and would love to indulge in this, I wont be supporting/purchasing a download only series 14, even if it is only audio book format. It's a pretty naff thing for BF to do when customers have already purchased the full set of series 1-13 on CD. No Sir they can keep this release.
