According to DWM the plans for S15 and S16 would have featured the return of the Celestial Toymaker, with 15 being set during previous series and involved games that ended up being by the Toymaker, and then 16 would have had the Toymaker return with the backdrop being the first modern Olympics.

And that being 2017-18, presumably the intention would have been David Bailie returning as the Toymaker. Just imagine those three wonderful actors sparring across two boxsets, it would have been superb.

It was a suggestion back on the original forum. Let’s hope the series 14 audiobook is a success and they continue and they are able to give us that match up!

The DWM article makes a point of saying that Series 14 is the swan song for J&L, but who knows. I’m pretty sure we weren’t expecting to get S14 after J&L Forever so we’ll see.

The DWM article says that the scripts weren't written, I don't think S15 & S16 were anything more than a vague idea. It's a very different consideration to adapting complete scripts.

Very true, but if I were BF I'd give those vague ideas to John Dorney, Paul Morris, Justin Richards and Matthew Sweet (to pick four of my favourite writers of the J&L range), ask for story ideas on the theme, then await great results!
Jago & Litefoot hold a special place in the hearts of many fans (definitely including me) and if we can have an audiobook about my Third Doctor, Sarah and the Brig., for example (coming soon folks, available for pre-orders! ), I see no reason why the magic of J&L can't also live on in audiobook form.

I'd be MORE interested in further J&L audiobooks than Doctor books. In that knowing the stories would be J&L alone would be enough to make me want to do a pre-buy, while I'm sitting on deciding over the current list of Doctor audiobooks BF is going to release as I dont yet which Doctors/Companions will actually appear in (4 out of 6) the stories.

I can see the logic in S14 being the last set of stories, but I hope they might go the audiobook route with original novels for Jago & Litefoot.

I mean, I'd love to see Jago and Litefoot meet another Doctor in the audio novels... Five, Peri and Erimem? I can see Jago wanting to get some stage time for a "Gen-u-ine Pharoah of Egypt!" Or just Six again, alongside Evelyn. Either way you could have the Doctor start to explain regeneration and have J&L wave him off, cause they've already been through Season 4 etc.

I agree we are being drip-fed about the DW audiobooks, and i don't think i can make my mine up without further info! More J&L would be good!

Looking at the writing credits it occurs to me we haven’t seen anything from Justin Richards in some time, or at least I’ve not seen his name on anything recently.

Agreed this is currently the newest release he seems to be involved in of course many forthcoming releases have'nt had writers attached yet. Regards mark687
