Episode 1, I thought was fine but wasn't totally grabbing me, but I'm glad to report that I enjoyed it a lot more as it went on. It was nothing particularly new or mind-blowing but it was a solid story with an interesting twist. I'm not crazy about 6B stories for Two, but if that's what they're hinting at here, I hope they follow up on it with these new adventures that they've teased as it would be a waste to set that up and not follow it up.

I actually purposely put this one off for a little while, as the twist was inadvertently spoilt for me on another thread, so I didn't feel the need to listen immediately. Listened this afternoon and I wasn't really enthralled by part one, as I think I was actively waiting for the aforementioned twist to occur. Once it came into play towards the end of that episode, I really did start to enjoy it. It's not an earth shattering story, it's very much a base under siege paint-by-numbers, but a story I was just in the right mood for, helped by Colin being on good form, the claustrophobic feel and the sound design.
I do like the idea of Season 6B and am intrigued to see what is done with it. Similarly, I love the idea of The Timeless Child, but as with all these revelations, it really needs something substantial not only to justify it, but to really sell the idea. I hope Big Finish give that to 6B and Jodie's remaining era does the same for The Timeless Child.

I think they announced a while back that they were planning on doing Series 6B stories for the Second Doctor. That’s all we know at this point in time. Did they say something so specific? Last I heard, there were on,y vague allusions to "big things" in store for the future. If they do wind up a season 6B, I'd be doubly excited--especially considering that it would necessitate new companions, which is always fun. But... and believe me, I am loathe to bring this up considering what a haven this community has been relative to the maelstrom of nonsense afflicting the greater Who fandom right now... BUT if Big Finish does make their own season 6B, I'd be very curious whether or not they've spoken with Chris Chibnall at all, as the Timeless Child revelations are still very much an on-going mystery, and could potentially tie-in to that particular era. It would be a shame for Big Finish to unleash their own season 6B if the TV series is going to likewise explore that "lost" period of the Doctor's life. .... Anyway, after listening to Omega I did some digging on the Wiki, where I noticed that when the Doctor's exile on Earth ended in The Three Doctors, the Time Lords "restored" certain memories that they had erased. Is the assumption that these memories were limited to the technical operation of the TARDIS, or did they extend to events prior to his exile? So, basically, does the season 6B theory hold that memories of these events were restored at that time, or that they remained "erased" in perpetuity? They (sort of) confirmed 6B stories when they announced the new boxset ranges for each Doctor www.bigfinish.com/news/v/revamped-doctor-who-audio-ranges-from-big-finish - "What happened to the Second Doctor after The War Games?"Incidentally, is there anywhere on this forum purely for discussion/theories about the new boxsets from next year?

Ooh, neat. I can only afford to get into so many ranges (and honestly I'm probably already following more than I ought to be) but I'm very excited about a Season 6B premise... I think one of the worst elements of the Big Finish audios is how constrained they are by the TV show--they always have to fit in with the TV continuity, which precludes the possibility radically different character or story arcs. This is why, I think, the 7th and 8t Doctor stories tend to be so engaging--they're not as beholden to the status quo.
And a season 6B basically gives BF carte blanche to do practically anything with the 2nd Doctor. Very exciting!
Re: discussing future boxsets, I don't recall seeing any threads like that when I was rummaging through the forum for the Index, but I don't think there'd be any problem with you (or anyone else) creating a new thread for "Future Boxset Speculation," or what have you. Essentially it would function the same way as the general Monthly Range thread, where folks'd sometimes speculate about future releases.

Caught up on this one just now. It's....I don't know what to say. I can find absolutely no fault in it to point at, but it also didn't really hold my interest? Perhaps 'well executed, but Not For Me'? I don't know.
The 6B reference was an interesting idea though, particularly if BF is indeed planning on doing a series of stories or range in that era. If it ends up being a range I'm interested in, this is a nice little hint. If it doesn't end up being a range I'm interested in, I can pretend it doesn't exist, and this story exists as a tantalizing little taste of unseen adventures.

Its Functional as is but it rely s on the Season 6B element for full impact that we the audience know nothing about. Regards mark687

I'm currently half way through this and I must say I'm enjoying it loads, a great atmosphere and a slow drip-feed of the clues and hints. Steve Foxon brings it all to life with a terrific soundscape.
I don't know why but it reminds me a bit of The Lure of the Nomad!

Just finished it. Need to listen to the interviews.
The mystery of Talos' identity with him laughing in The Doctor's head at the end of episode 2 with "Now I remember... no, it's not possible. It can't be!" made me think it was The Master or another Time Lord. It seems a bit of an overreaction to what it actually turned out to be. I guess we will find out more in "Doctor Who: Beyond War Games".
The other mystery is that I don't think we know what has happened to Flip between The Lovecraft Invasion and this. We haven't see her getting dropped back off yet, right? [Mystery not involved in that this is before Constance met Flip.]
Overall, though, it was an exciting adventure that kept me in suspense.
P.S. In the interview it is revealed that it is indeed a Constance adventure early in her run with the 6th Doctor. I do remember a bit of dialogue that indicated this - she did not know the fate of her husband at this time.

However that one does explain why Flip is (temporarily) missing.

...I fell asleep but never one to judge a release after falling asleep by the third episode lol I'm very tempted to make a, "How do you listen to BF" thread. Falling asleep is a real problem! I find that if I'm not doing something with my hands, it's very easy to lose focus. But, alternatively, if that something is too complex, I also lose focus. It can be a weird balancing act. I'm pretty sure we've had such a thread in the past. Probably buried somewhere in the General Big Finish discussion board. This was a good but not great story. Enjoyed it overall.
