5 years of new adventures it says in the article, but no news of the monthly range. Excited and miffed at the same time

Assuming that's not some kind of misprint (BF have never committed to more than a year of Dark Shadows at a time before now), I'm genuinely ecstatic to hear of these plans. Five more years of DS, a full-cast special, and a sequel to Bloodlust! Also, I notice David Richardson's name attached to the line producer credits. I'm not sure he's been associated with DS before, but he's a very welcome addition. I'm unreasonlably happy about this.

If I can trust that the monthly range is a given (hopefully that's an old project in contrast to these "new projects"), this is a whole bucketful of fantastic news... and Rob is helping write Bloodline, hooray!!
Thank you Jason and Big Finish!!!

5 years of new adventures it says in the article, but no news of the monthly range. Excited and miffed at the same time In the Dark Shadows at Big Finish Day podcast, it was mentionced that the 'small-cast/ 'dramitic readings'' dramas don't do compartivily as well as the larger cast tales - despite progressing from Bloodlust, so it's understandable that Big Finish might pull back on such material for 2016. I'm intrested to see how they will progress things with Jackie - she has that uneasy feeling of dying in Collinsport, after all..... CODY IS SAFE, RIGHT? AND HARRY? I WANT THOSE BOYS TO MAKE IT OUT OF COLLINSPORT ALIVE.

And, to be brutally honest, if you are going to end a series, then number 50 is a good, round number - and bringing back one of the original characters is at least going out on a high. That's if they don't continue, I'm just speculating. But it seems we have five years of product to look forward to. What form it will take ... who knows?

I'd second that having David Richardson listed as line producer is a pretty interesting, and unexpected, turn of events for the range.

This news came completely out of the blue for me, and is such an amazing Christmas present! I have already preordered the special!

This is great and very exciting news. Who could be the "old enemy" returning to Collinsport for the 50th anniversary special? Will we ever find out what happened to Adam? And "Bloodline" ... that's an interesting title that seems very Collins family-focused. Am looking forward to these new adventures!

People are reacting to David Richardson's credit like it's a big thing or a new thing. It's no change to the long-standing status quo. David is the Line Producer of *every* Big Finish product. Like Nick and Jason are Executive Producer. These are company-wide roles. There's proper news elsewhere in the announcement that's actually worthy of a reaction. You can see David's Line Producer credit on your Dark Shadows CDs you've got already, it's usually just above mine.

It was just the first time I'd noticed David's name on an actual Dark Shadows online 'blurb' page and wondered if his involvement was something new.

And I wasn't even referring to David. My reaction was to the entire announcement, which is so full of joyous news for a DS fan--both of the TV series and the audios. I already knew that David is always Line Producer.

Will you name new characters after people on this forum? It was popular for writers of the Doctor Who New Adventures novels to use names of their friends or people in the fan community for characters in their books. Kate Orman's Blue Box includes a character named after a user on the old Outpost Gallifrey forum.

I think we're still more concerned with the plot than the extra character names at the moment!

I think we're still more concerned with the plot than the extra character names at the moment! Good luck with the plot, it'll be a good one. August can't come soon enough. Also, good luck for the recording sessions. At least you know you've got a lot of eager listeners helping to bankroll the effort!
