Information... Information... Alternately, perhaps you need to turn your TV on, so they can beam it into your brain.

I'm going to give this a listen tomorrow. I've been jumping back and forth over the proverbial fence on this one.

I enjoyed that and think Mark Elstob sounds very good. I'm still not sure about getting it though, if anything it's made me want to watch the OS again. Perhaps if it was cheaper or if they had a standard version I would be all over this release. Cheers Tony

Yeah $35 is just a bit too much for me now. Granted there are some things I would spend that on but not a completely new range with no actors I am familiar with. That's not to say I won't pick it up in the future if it ever goes on sale though. Besides sometimes you need to save things for later or sales would be no fun. However I will listen to the first 1/2 hour when I am back at work next week and who knows maybe I'll be tempted after all.

Full review soon...
But it is simply brilliant. Seriously accessible and... Almost The prisoner we know and love.
The same But so different
And as for main guy... I had to constantly tell myself it wasn't pat!
Brilliant

My review will be up on Starburst soon. Summary - a lot to recommend this, and I look forward to Nick talking about this at BF Day

Well done chaps, nice to hear some positivity.
As an audio fan im very much looking forward to shutting my eyes, popping my big headphones on, and being transported to The Village in my minds eye.

I am glad to hear it is good but still going to wait for a sale. Sale, or a more reasonably priced physical release.

Glad you both seem to think it's a worthwhile release though hearing Elstob sounds exactly like McGoohan throughout really makes the official line of "no, we didn't hire him because he sounds like Patrick" even more odd.

I am glad to hear it is good but still going to wait for a sale. Sale, or a more reasonably priced physical release. Since the digital release is only a few pounds less, I can't see how a budget hard copy version would work. Someone who has paid £35 just for the stories as downloads would have a right to be pissed if there was then a "new" release for the same stories at £20. I think that's why BF have otherwise always put the deluxe and standard editions on sale together. I can only imagine how long it would take to sell 3,000 of these if we could get a "normal" box set edition at half the price.

I always forget, since I'm in the states the difference is $35 for Download and $60 for the CD, so its hard for me to see it as slightly cheaper. (Even if in pounds it is.) But 35 seems too much period for the download...
