Doubtful as he hasn’t done any work with them I believe since only their second story but I wonder whether David Walliams would suit playing an incarnation of the Collective? Might just end up sounding like a bunch of silly voices from his Little Britain days but I guess he’d make for an alright Three.

Strange, the best person I could think of for the Three was Matt Lucas! David’s co star from Little Britain. I am always surprised when I hear Matt talking normally I think he could play all three incarnations very well. But if Big Finish got him again I would imagine more Nardole would take precedence, although he might relish the opportunity of being villainous. David Williams would also fit the role, but I would see him more as a Four - Sophisticated and Superior.

You could always hire the pair of them and have Matt Lucas’s Three regenerate into David Walliams’s Four. Now that I think about it I agree with you on that choice of casting. Smug and quite obviously superior with just a hint of condescension in his speech. I could quite easily see someone getting under his skin by directly referencing his affliction and then his other selves chipping in. Distracting him long enough for the Doctor or someone else to thwart his master plan. So much for being superior indeed.

He’d never do it but Charles Dance could make for a good Two or the Seventh.

Surly the Two has to be Nigel Havers.
For those of us of a certain vintage and being bought up in the UK he is The Charmer. He has worked with Big Finish before, however that was some time ago.
He might not be the most versatile actor, but I am sure he can do both smooth & charming as well as old and fussy for the One.
I am imagining that the Numbered does not start out as evil, it is a gradual progression. The Charmer was described as “a conman and scoundrel”, so to my mind that would fit the character.
However as TelevisionHeaven.co.uk puts it...
He is a psychopath with the plausible charm of every mother's son, a Lothario whose conquests are merely a means to obtaining what he really craves - money and power.
Plus it would be a cheeky way of Big Finish resurrecting another 80s television series, but this time without having to pay a licence fee and get the opportunity to inflict The Charmer on unsuspecting alien worlds.

Great pick there mt66! And if you had a story where the Twelfth crossed her own timeline and encountered the Two you could also get a ‘No More Lies’ reunion out of it as well.

If we’re using constonks interpretation of the Sixth, I’d imagine someone such as Eddie Marsan might make for a good fit.

Probably not the right thread for such an idea, but I think it might be interesting (considering we know the One went by another name at some point) if we introduced his first incarnation as just another minor Time Lord in a story set on Gallifrey under a completely different name. Then, due to the events of the story, he is forced to regenerate and, in a brilliant twist that no one saw coming, it is revealed he has been left with Regenerative Dissonance.
That’s right, this minor Time Lord side character was actually the One the whole time.

Considering Red Dwarf is currently in limbo at the moment and the actor in question had a successful career as an impressionist I wonder if Chris Barrie would make for a good incarnation of the Collective?
Not sure which one he’d be a good fit for exactly and you would run the risk of it sounding like Arnold Rimmer Vs The Doctor but I could see it being rather fun.

Be nice to see him play someone so utterly villainous compared to the likes of Rimmer or even the gormless Gordon Brittas.

Call me bonkers if you like, but how about Julian Clary for an incarnation?
You don’t even need to play it camp. Just have him play one of the more sardonic incarnations who is still just as villainous but responds to the constant interruptions by his previous selves with a weary sigh.

I just want 8 before EDA happens. I like to imagine he has loads of adventures prior to him being stuck on earth and mad.

Having listened to the recent Further Adventuress set I was once again struck with how versatile a voice artist Mark Elstob is.
I would suggest having him as the Ten, but from a marketing point of view he potential looks too similar to Mark Bonnar
Unfortunately I don’t think he would be a good fit to play number six again, but perhaps he can go one better and play the seven?

Watching McDonald and Dodds at the moment and it strikes me that Robert Lindsay has yet to make his Big Finish debut.
He strikes me as someone who could make for a good version of The Two or possibly The Four.
