They know everything about Cardiff – they hear the city's secrets, they move between its hidden places, they understand its nightmares. And they're the people you turn to if you're in trouble. They are taxi drivers.
Toshiko Sato, wounded and desperate, wakes up in the back of a cab. She's got one night to save the city, and the meter's running.

You see, it's stories like this that always make me wish we had just that little bit more Tosh out there...

Excellent story! I listened to The Vigil yesterday, and this today. I loved the stories that focused on Tosh during the original run of the show, but I honestly thing she's even better served on audio. And it's nice to have a Torchwood story that has a relatively happy ending. Highly recommended!

Strange - or maybe not - how Torchwood (specifically this single-story range) seems to have become a mainstay of Big Finish. The Doctor Who monthly range is ending, Dark Shadows seems to have tragically been put on long-term hiatus, Blake's 7 has inevitably reached it's full-cast conclusion; and yet these wonderful Torchwood stories continue.
Tosh, bless her cotton socks, is a mainstay of the range, despite the fate her character her succumbed to on television and I am very glad of it. Tosh is great, undervalued by her colleagues, someone who carries on despite rarely getting the credit she deserves - she's loyal, fiercely intelligent and your best friend. Naoko Mori plays her perfectly - she's great fun, but mainly free of the excesses and eccentricities of some of her colleagues. Grounded is a good word. This story serves her well - she is able to reel off a whole list of alien-related absurdities and make them sound perfectly reasonable. The story is a good solid thriller/horror with a few nice 'little' character moments that endear the characters to us further. I really enjoyed it, but that isn't unusual for this range.

Taxi! Taxi for number13 and step on it - I have a TW to buy!
This was on my "DLs to buy" list anyway - Tosh is terrific isn't she? - but once again all your comments have pushed it up the list. DU: Spending my money for me since 2017.

I find myself waiting to hear what folks here have to say about BF releases I'm on the fence about before I buy too! A good example is The Robots, which I'll be listening to later, a year after everyone else has heard it. Ain't life grand?

EDIT: Which reminds me, one year I thought the same when I filled a lot of MR gaps from a sale, which must have been around this time. I wonder if we'll get a sale to coincide with the final MR release? (If you're reading this BF, I've got a few gaps between 150 and 200, just saying... )

I do like reading people's comments when I haven't pre-ordered and one advantage of coming late to BF was the sales I was able to take advantage of and the resulting size of my backlog! There's always some 'brand new' treasure to explore, so I don't always have to buy new, right now, to get my fill of 'new' BF goodness.
On the other hand, I do like to keep more or less up to date with my favourite ranges, which by now means more or less all of them! BF are very very good at this audio drama stuff aren't they?!

Loved this. Heard this one twice. Then again I am admittedly biased. Tosh is my favourite of the Fab Five team.

Just finished this while driving to the market and back. Just a great story. I was ready to complain that Tosh didn't pay the driver and so cost her a day's wages and more, but they took care of things at the end.

Revisited this one and adored even more this time round. Llewellyn just gets Torchwood, and Naoko Mori is surely due another adventure sooner rather than later! And Suzanne Packer as Fawzia really nails the guest lead in this. tuigirl, I know you are a selective Torchwood listener, but I highly recommend the Tosh stories if you haven't ventured into them!
