not sure what i want to see exactly im very curious about the flash the kid they cast is a good actor from what i hear but boy is he not the type i would consider for a superhero movie. and i want a good look at aquaman very curious at the khal drago version of the character. BvS i just want a decent job out of affleck i would love to see a robin in there. there are rumors of a female robin. nightwing would be too much to ask for if marvel could do winter soldier than dc cold do nightwing
honestly zach snyder does not fill me with confidence he makes ok movies but i think you need somebody really talented at the helm of superhero movies i think they are really easy to mess up. they either become mediocre camp or exposition bogs.

I'd like to see a super hero movie that isn't dour to the point of depressing. I hated Man of Steel and if Dawn of Justice follows suit, well, I think I will permanently make mine Marvel. That said, I have hopes for Suicide Squad. And the question I ask, is how can the movie DCU releases get it so wrong but the TV DCU shows get it so right?

All I want, and I don't mean this as a slight against previous DC movies, All I really want, is a good movie. It can be dour and all that, because I can accept dour, thank you Jessica Jones, but I want it well done.
That aside, I'm not excited for BvS, and doubt I ever will be.

And the question I ask, is how can the movie DCU releases get it so wrong but the TV DCU shows get it so right? The TV shows have a number of episodes to develop characters and stories, as well as the time to alter things depending on how well they are received. Felicity in Arrow was given a bigger role because viewers liked her. On The Flash Iris West moved largely out of love triangle territory and became a reporter. The movies have two hours each to showcase at least three major protagonists as well as the antagonist(s) and deliver a satisfying narrative. The movies are also a lot less frequent, two or three a year at most, so any arc isn't going to be as elaborate as we've seen on Arrow and Flash. There's less time to fine-tune the characters, unless Warner Brothers want to do what Fox did and excise whole bits out of the film (like how they removed all reference to Victor von Doom being a blogger/hacktivist after negative feedback from the public on the concept). And a bigger special effects budget doesn't always mean that the special effects look any better. I can name several characters from The Flash who look better than Doomsday from the new Batman vs Superman trailer. There's Grodd and King Shark for example.

And the question I ask, is how can the movie DCU releases get it so wrong but the TV DCU shows get it so right? In the end, they took a relative upbeat hero like Superman, and made the character down beat. You can make a down beat movie, a serious, even dark movie, around an upbeat character. but in the end, he's a mopey bastard, like Spider-Man 3. I don't mean to say DC needs to copy marvel, but Marvel got Captain America right. An upbeat character who can exist in a down beat world, like Winter Soldier. The Movies can be dour, but at least have the characters be true to themselves.
Also, I love reading on internet posts going "Who cares if Batman uses a gun." I die inside when I see that...

[/p][/quote] Though, to be fair, I found MCU's Cap to be a rather mopey stick-in-the-mud, prior to Winter Soldier. Speaking of Superman, I'd like to see an adaptation that bases his personality on the unstable, childish one of the very early comics.

He was more contemplative in Avengers, and at least showed a range of emotions in First Avenger. Unlike Henry Cavil who seemed to have sad and rage down to a T.
