I really enjoyed the last seven box sets. When this was announced I was close to ordering the bundle of these four new box sets.
Then I hesitated.
The thought of another four linked boxsets like the 8th Doctor stuff just put me off.
And then the inclusion of the Eleventh has further made me question if I should dive in and blindly pre-order the bundle.

The set now has a subtitle: Between Two Worlds "Sullivan, Cross - look at the camera when we're trying to take a group photo." "Sullivan! Sullivan! Alright, who replaced Sullivan with a waxwork and thought I wouldn't notice?"

I am wondering.... did they say if the Eleven was the villain in the whole "Nemesis" series, or will they have a new Nemesis for each release?

I doubt the Eleven will end up being the main antagonist for the entire series though. In fact, I think it’s rather a shame the rights to the Rani are still lingering in a legal Time Eddy. Feel like she’d make for a good villainous foil for Kate Stewart what with the pair sharing the same approach of ‘Science leads.’

The Eleven first, The Nine second, a new incarnation third, with those 3 teaming up in the fourth set, with The Twelve joining up with UNIT to defeat them.

Well, that would be a great idea and bring something new to the table. Don't get me wrong, I love the Eleven, but 4 releases with just him as a villain might become slightly stale...

I am wondering.... did they say if the Eleven was the villain in the whole "Nemesis" series, or will they have a new Nemesis for each release? From the first news article about the release, we were told to "prepare to meet enemies ancient and modern", and David Richardson said that the Nemesis series "will see the return of a number of popular monsters". From the second article about the release, we were told that Nemesis is "packed full of alien adversaries". This makes me think that the actual 'Nemesis' will be the Eleven, or, possibly, as masterdoctor said, different incarnations of the Collective, but that there will be various other villains appearing throughout the series, the Ice Warriors being an example from the first set.

You know, I think UNIT has a pretty clear Nemesis already - one with history with Kate and Osgood... I do wonder if he (or she) will make an appearance at some point (possibly in this set to tell The Eleven to go find his own taskforce to terrorize!)

The Vortex article implies that the Ice Warriors, Harry and Naomi are only in episode two and the Curator only in episode four, with our three UNIT regulars and the Eleven in the whole set. (It feels a little like the Eighth Doctor boxes, where you have, say, a Voord episode in Doom Coalition 2, but they're not in any other stories.)
It also mentions that Harry and Naomi's appearance ties into a bigger storyline that spans other ranges... presumably beyond just this and the 2023 4DAs? Possibly to do with the 60th???

Yes and because of and despite this info overall though I think I'll stick with my original plan and wait for Vol 2 details next year before committing to the series. Regards mark687

Could it be the 18-boxset story that JH-E mentioned in his recent interview? It strikes me that the 18 boxsets may not all be in the same range...

Thatcher in the trailer? & I guess the Curator never did retire like he claimed in Day of the Doctor.

I know it’s probably going to end up being revealed that The Eleven created the gateway but I do like the idea that he was just pottering around on some planet until UNIT ended up unleashing him on Earth.

1.1 The Enemy Beyond by Andrew Smith
In a UNIT facility beneath Edinburgh Castle, Kate and Osgood work to unlock the mystery of a stone arch discovered buried in a prehistoric rock formation. When the arch takes one of their number away to a strange, bleak world, it leads to an encounter with a Time Lord. One with multiple personalities. Soon the Eleven is loose on the streets of Edinburgh and plotting to seize the arch from UNIT by any means necessary.
well we are quick off the mark-and headlong straight into the Mystery-Unit-efficiency 😂 It is always nice when a location you know is used...thanks Andrew there are no flies on Osgood she thinks{Spoiler} The Arch is a gateway 😂

Am just not a fan of stories that span across ranges..invariably though great financially for BF,not so much for me especially if they expand into ranges i do not listen to
