When I first heard this I had shivers the action almost seemed to flow straight from the end of the televised episode I swear nowadays that I envision them so well I thought some of the scenes had been televised even knowing they weren’t.I really love it...on tv we got the Aftermath of the galactic war but this fills in the details as only an audio and imagination could really have done justice.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

This is my BF comfort listen. Star One is my favourite episode of the entire show and I was always a little let down that Aftermath didn’t really wrap up the story in a way that it deserved, despite being terrific in its own way. The gaps that are filled in here as well as every character having their own things to do - or in the case of Jenna, just stealing the entire episode because she is that awesome - made it feel like part of the canon.

I think as B7 fans we have been well served in what we have received in B7 I know I do enjoy aspects of the reboot but these are really what we were waiting for. am not sure about Paul Darrows series of Novels I have avoided them so far,do you think I should bite the bullet and accept his version of continuity lol?

That's been the real joy of things like Warship and Liberation. You can drop them into your watchlist for the show without any real need to adjust for the change in medium. They sound and feel like episodes of the show. My favourite arc, actually, is to run: Just for how smooth the transition from one episode to the next feels. Warship's a tough gap to plug, as well. An all-out conflict with everyone and everything we know on the losing side and the Federation set to ease apart at the seams. It could easily have gone sideways, but there's this great sense of things lining up quite naturally. Blake and Cally get to pick up on their conversation from Star One ("If you were right?"), Servalan's rise to power carries through, Jenna gets a proper send off, the gears are set to push Avon to the forefront, etc. It's... artfully clever. I haven't picked up Paul Darrow's novels either (mostly because I had to pick and choose, money-wise, between post- Blake or pre- Terminal stories), but I remember really enjoying Erebus. That was one of his from one of the Crossfire boxsets. I thought it had the same feel as Deathwatch (the one with Tarrant's brother, Deeta).

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

On the one hand I liked this episode for all the reasons that others have stated above.
However, it does take away from the end of Star One - not from the "Fire!" cliffhanger, but from the final farewell between Avon and Blake where Blake tells Avon he has always trusted him, right from the beginning and Darrow/Avon reacts without saying a word. A really brilliant moment, one of the best in the whole of B7, that is made all the more powerful by the knowledge of what is to come 26 episodes later.
And Warship, wonderful as it is in so many other ways, takes away from this scene, so I would on balance prefer the B7 universe without it.

I can see where you are at.... but I don’t think it detracts from it personally, there are just so many great moments in Blake 7 and am glad for all the extra moments BF has provided especially with their passing.
