"Dorset, 1830. The Doctor has taken Leela to meet Mary Anning, the noted palaeontologist, but the duo immediately stumble into trouble.
A body has been found in unusual circumstances. Attacked by an animal... but one of a size unknown in the area.
It turns out some things might be better off staying buried."

Great Pseudo-Historical full of action and very well defined character moments.

I don’t know it didn’t capture me as much as Thaddeus ....but it’s a 4/5 and a definite relisten too . so Thaddeus for me was the best of the lot I just found it a lot of fun to listen to.Strongest box set to date ,No.but definitely varied stories which I enjoyed and no over arching arc, which was brilliant I do enjoy independent stories.

Really liked this one - pity about the bony alien invasion but apart from that detail - very well done. Another overlooked historical figure added to the Doctor's list of friends.

I really liked this one. The climax was a bit “meh” to me, but the setting and performances really made up for it and then some. This just felt so authentically 70s Doctor Who I couldn’t not love it!

I really enjoyed this one, until part four where it just lost my interest. I can't quite put my finger on why, as it doesn't suddenly come out of nowhere, compared to the previous two stories, but it's just not as compelling. It might be the tonal shift where it goes from a really nicely paced character piece and then the climax is generic and noisy in comparison. The final couple of minutes are wonderful, though, as is the whole guest cast. Alan David plays the same character in everything, but he can't help but steal the show! Tom & Louise are very well served here too; again it's nice to just let Leela be Leela.
Overall Series 10 has been fine. None of them are favourites or classics and they all seem to have a better story contained within, or just completely change the tone, to the detriment of each of them. However, our leads are great and the guest cast in each are also a highlight. The best Fourth Doctor material from Big Finish continues to be outside of his own range.

It seems that BF's timing of this freshly minted release is, as the old saying goes, 'bang on the money'...

Enjoyable but a bit too much padding with supporting characters.

I'm going to be "that person" and point out that the word Dinosaur had not been coined until 10 years after this story takes place, and that T. Rex was no discovered or named until the turn of the century. Mary Anning's contributions to the field of paleontology were mainly surrounding Jurassic sea life, including large reptiles and pterosaurs, but she would have not heard of dinosaurs as a specific classification of extinct animal.

At least in our world - Doctor Who takes place in a universe where Harriet Jones was PM of the UK, among other differences to our own reality.

Actually an enjoyable relisten to this tale. Am back at work tomorrow and i have enjoyed the time to revisit so many stories over last two weeks. I can only say i love Tom and at his age he gives everything to his performances and you can always tell he has read a script as it shows in the performance...
