4. The Land of the Dead
God this one was a chore to get through. Two characters spend the entire story in varying degrees of madness and that’s their entire contribution, Monica swings widely between petrified and mildly put out and after four episodes we get treated to the truly inspired revelation that the monsters are vulernable to explosives like 99% of the rest of the universe.

Release number 7, The Genocide Machine (April 2000). A messy plot, the annoying 7th Doctor, Daleks shouting at each other. Awful, will never listen to this again.

From one bad story to another, Red Dawn (release number 8 from May 2000) was completely devoid of merit. Such a dull story, dull characters & dull music. Dull, dull, dull. At least I know the next release will be good.

The Genocide Machine: Yeah, I agree. Kind of a mess. But I though Sophie was very good in this. In my own personal head cannon Chief Librarian Elgin does penance by helping to create THE Library, this time without enslaving anyone. Although they do end up with some books that carry some very deadly organisms.
Red Dawn: not great, but not as bad as it's made out to be. There are some great ideas in here that could have been done better. It's the first exploration of the relationship between Five and Peri, definitely a little used pairing, especially at the time.
The Spectre of Lanyon Moore: Terrific script, executed wonderfully. I wish we had had more stories with The Brigadier and Sixie. Maggie Stables knocks it out of the park. This one never disappoints.
Winter for the Adept: Just terrible. I feel like the companion was supposed to be Tegan or Turlough instead of Nyssa. She's written so completely out of character here. It also feels like Cartmel had no idea how to write for audio. At one point India Fisher's character actually just describes things that are happening. Such clunky exposition, it's jarring. The headmistress here had absolutely nothing to do except give us more exposition and then die. Definitely a misstep in the early days of the range.

The Spectre of Lanyon Moor, the 9th release (June 2000), maybe not quite as great as I remember but still a very good story just a little too long for my taste (a minor quibble) & the sound design is not quite there yet especially given the location of the story.

10th release Winter for the Adept from July 2000. A very interesting story I did not know where it was heading but on the downside Nyssa was written more like Tegan & it did not really suit the character.
Here is my first top 10 of the first top 10.
1.The Spectre of Lanyon Moor 2.Winter for the Adept 3.The Marian Conspiracy 4.Whispers of Terror 5.The Fearmonger 6.The Sirens of Time 7.Red Dawn 8.The Land of the Dead 9.Phantasmagoria 10.The Genocide Machine

this one those bad 1 you hear about DW MR 041 Nekromanteia first time for this wish me luck i think i going to need it
{Spoiler look after u tryed it or if your never going too} A markedly Darker and Edgier audio than most Big Finish stories. "Nekromanteia" is notable for garnering almost exclusively negative reviews, both for its script and for its production. Due to very iffy sexual themes and inscrutable sound mixing, it's considered the Dork Age of Big Finish, and its author was, at Peter Davison's request, never hired to write for Doctor Who ever again. this one those bad 1 you hear about DW MR 041 Nekromanteia first time for this wish me luck i think i going to need it

Interesting yes, good no. Part 1 & 2 are quite intriguing but due to the muddled sound design are still painful to listen to
