After years of buying Boxsets (Full cast) nine years to be exact! The BF latest offering of audiobooks are starting to appeal to me.Doctor who The Audio novels with details of the 1st Audio Scouge of the CYbermen sounds really good with no details yet for the others i am unlikely to buy the bundle but if i leave it for awhile more details may emerge and i am giving these serious consideration.I am familiar with J&L through other ranges, did not invest in series 1-13 felt they were a smidgin too-expensive for the downloads. But part 14 with some of the narration being done by Lisa Bowerman and Christopher Benjamin sound like fun and 480 minutes long! Then we have Iris Wildthyme and friends, narration from Katy Manning and Louise Jameson, will probably dip into a couple of these.Full cast will always be my preferred listening, but come to think of it i have most of the Dark Shadows range which BF describe as damatised readings.I am pretty sure i will invest in some of the aforementioned audiobooks, after all a change is as good as a rest! And some of the ones i have discussed seem to me to be good value for money! Always a key factor! I am sure full cast v audiobooks has been discussed many times on this forum.Still interested to hear people's views on the subject. Apologies if this thread or if the subject matter is a little boring.

It's an interesting debate, personally I enjoy both formats very much and the announced audiobooks look to have some real treats - the final J&L, more Iris and an adventure for my Third Doctor, Sarah and the Cybermen. And that's just what we know about!
Although it wasn't what the thread was set up for, we did get into this discussion on the thread
so maybe it would be worth merging the threads?

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

I find audiobooks easier to listen to requiring less concentration on my part than full cast, so I would tend to tailor my listening to whatever else I am doing at the time and the amount of concentration the whatever else requires. The ultimate chillaxing listen for me is a target audiobook written by Terrance Dicks.

i like both but the drawback with audiobooks is downloads only so i paying for blank disks so i have a back up copy but also to put into my BF cd set in order like the Benny 1s main reason for download only is to keep cost down as some could 6 or cd or more
