"Known best to Big Finish listeners as Abby Grant in Survivors, Carolyn Seymour is an actress who is equally at home in a Hollywood blockbuster, a British cult comedy or drama series. She played Jenny in Take Three Girls, Zita in the Steptoe & Son movie, and starred on the silver screen alongside Peter O'Toole, Albert Finney and Michael Keaton in a career that has lasted five decades.
Now she opens up in an exclusive two-hour interview with writer, actor and comedian Toby Hadoke, talking with openness and honesty about her astonishing career and life outside of the spotlight"
Some releases you know you're going to enjoy. It's a safe few pounds you spend to hear (someone like ) Carolyn Seymour talking about an extensive career and a truly eventful life - in this case, in a very matter-of-fact manner. With an honesty and good grace, with a gentle humour and non-nonsense attitude, Carolyn is great. Equally, more than a word for Toby Hadoke, who is an excellent, friendly interviewer who is nevertheless on-the-ball with questions and background knowledge to whatever is being discussed. All in all, this release has the ambience of two friends discussing some often quite weighty personal themes. Often very theatrical anecdotes, and some genuinely revealing moments too. Really glad I bought this.
I recently rewatched Babylon 5. (My fav TV show). I have seen this show quite a few times. But only recently I realized Carolyn Seymour appearing in there for a very brief scene. It was the voice! Wish she was used in B5 a bit more
