As I love any chance to talk about books and this is the relevant section, I thought I would create a thread dedicated to discussing our favourite illustrators/artists.
Personally, two of my favourites include Chris Riddell and Sir John Tenniel. The former known for his collaborations with the likes of Paul Stewart and Neil Gaiman and the latter for his work on the Alice series and Punch.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Edward Gorey I love his gothic drawings! I was always fascinated by them growing up and have several picture books and novels that he illustrated! I also love the animated opening credits he designed for PBS mystery! youtu.be/CG7SyxaXGwUBrett Helquist His drawings for “A Series of Unfortunate Events” are very nostalgic for me!

Being a fan of The Shadow, Mike Kaluta's artwork has been a big part of the character in comics for decades (he started in the 70s on Denny O'Neil's DC run), though honestly, I like (the late) Eduardo Barreto's art from the 90s The Shadow Strikes as a design better - I love the long, flowing cape and how the scarf blends into it. It's almost wraith-like.
