A frankly hilarious story which although not necessary to listen to is a delight never the less. Colin Baker is a real standout as is Robert Jezek as Frobisher.
Just unfortunate that the poor sales of this and The Holy Terror meant we never got any more Sixth Doctor and Frobisher stories.
What did you all think?

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I love it: the story is every private eye cliche bundled into a very slight story that is played wonderfully by the leads. Colin Baker does a wonderful job of “playing” a shape-shifted version of himself. If Frobisher were an owl, I’d say it was a hoot! As it is, it doesn’t feel auk-ward at all.

One of my favorites. Colin Baker is at the very top of his game here (and even when he's at his lowest, he's still pretty damned good) and Frobisher is just a delightful character.
But also, I'm very suspicious of the lack of further Frobisher stories. I can maybe buy a lack of sales leading Big Finish to ignore the character for a while, now? After so many years? And the fact that so many audio fans speak so highly and so often of Frobisher? He's definitely (long over)due another outing.
And theres no better time than now, considering how easy it might be to "sneak" Frobisher into a boxset.

What if we all signed a petition to bring Frobisher back to show that we are all still very interested in his character? I know I and probably many of us would love it if BF released a whole Frobisher spin off range! It could be a private eye mystery series formatted not too dissimilar to this release!

I read 'Frobisher for ever' and 'bring back Frobisher' on so many different places that I have to suspect the reasons the character hasn't been used again are :- The voice actor is not interested in repeating the character. (I know he's been in other stuff.) Appropriate unique storylines are not being pitched. I mean, I bet they've been mostly Sam Spade stuff, if anything has been pitched at all. Now someone prove me wrong, please!

A quote from Jac Rayner (who's producing the 6DAs from next year) in this article sort of hints at someone returning: Mentioning a familiar voice of a companion... also Frobisher technically doesn't have a face anyway, being a shape-shifter. Could it be...?

I can't prove you wrong but I suspect it might just be a case of Nicholas Briggs not being a particular fan of Frobisher.... after all, it has been 19 years since we've heard Frobisher in a Big Finish audio. If he was coming back he'd surely have been back by now if Nick was a fan!

Could it be...? I always thought that would be a neat way of reintroducing Frobisher. Have the Doctor and Co go on a regular adventure, meet a side character and then after the adventure is over reveal that said side character was actually Frobisher in disguise all along. Having had to go undercover after being hired by some other third party. Then we can have a few adventures with him and the Doctor.

It’s funny this year makes it the 20th anniversary of Frobishers big finish appearances hopefully they can get him back for another 6th Doctor story

I wouldn't have minded a Sixth Doctor & Frobisher comic strip adaptation if they had continued doing them...

I'd have loved a full series, but if I had to choose, a pair of volumes for the Parkhouse stories would've been satisfying in their own right. I think we went so far down this rabbit hole on the forum, we ended up with partial "What if?" production credits. I remember it was Graham McTavish for Voyager, the Lord of Life, and someone suggested Hugh Ross for Astrolabus, the Thief of Time. Luke Pietnik did some terrific sound design for a Blake's 7 audio that felt like it could've captured the unnatural dream of the Lighthouse: https%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Flukepietnik%2Fblakes-7-true-believers-the-singing-grave-mournful

I've said it before, don't pre-announce Frobisher. Just have the cliffhanger of one the episodes reveal that he's been posing as the Doctor or Peri for the first half-hour, that's the way to engage interest (if he's not a selling point in his own right).
