I always felt like when it comes to the various monsters the Doctor and co have encountered over the years, the Krotons had the most unused potential. No doubt they are a textbook example of limited by the budget of their time when it came to their only television appearance.
Thankfully, Briggs takes full advantage of this potential when it comes to this story offering a new take on these crystalline beings which in my opinion is more than effective.
Besides, it always a delight to see or in this case hear the late Phillip Madoc in anything.
What did you all think?

Bit like Return to the Web Planet in that regard. Maybe Big Finish just didn’t think the Krotons and the inhabitants of Vortis were interesting enough to fill out a full two hour story?

Agreed good thinking, RTTW definitely wouldn't fill 2 hours this might've done. Focus on the population a bit more at the start perhaps? Regards mark687
