Thoroughly enjoyed both stories and the greater whole to this. We get the anthology releases from Big Finish, but getting a quick adventure where we're thrust into the middle of the action, or the Doctor's victory getting back to the TARDIS, is still a novelty and one I really like. We get that here with top notch performances from our two Doctors at two different points of their lives, aided by a great guest cast and some brilliant sound design and music.
I was wondering where the Time Lord Victorious link would come in to play, particularly as this is the epilogue for Ten, but it soon becomes clear. I think I would have preferred something where the Doctor is more explicitly tidying up events of his actions, but this works well and I don't think it's the last we'll get from TLV. It's also nice to have the story reference the two books, which has been lacking in previous audios and the DWM strip.
I've been critical of Alfie Shaw's work previously but he really pulls it out of the bag here; it works well as two standalones and also as the greater whole. Looking forward to a relisten once the vinyl arrives.
Oh, make sure you listen to after the credits for both stories! And in the interests of honesty, this is not a multi-Doctor story; they don't interact. I know this has been mentioned previously in a press release (or might have been the Vortex article), but I think it would be understandable to think there might have been a brief exchange.

Could we see a "Time Lord Victorious 2" in a couple years time?

2 Time Lord 2 Victorious. Or the classic Time Lord Victorious: Temporal Boogaloo.

Another very good story with good performances
As with the other 8th TVL's its 8DA style and pace, this time with a little bonus Tennant
The project overall I don't know, I've enjoyed the Audios, the DWM Strip and free stories, but it hasn't made me intrigued enough to buy the books.

Regards mark687 This is my main criticism of the project. The Time Lord Victorious story is the two novels. Everything else is supporting that, but it hasn't been promoted as such and they certainly haven't been released to reflect that. It does feel as though that was the intention originally, as the two books were the earliest thing promoted, but it was forgotten about as more licencees came on board. My other criticism is they didn't make the audios and the DWM strip more explicitly refer to the novels, but that wouldn't be an issue if they'd promoted and released it differently.

Both excellent, I have to admit. Seems to work out well as an experiment, but I do feel that they should've been an hour long each. And overall, I would've preferred more Tenth Doctor full-cast TLV audios, despite being featured in other media in the series.

Given TLV was in the planning stages long before lockdown (and I think the earlier Eighth Doctor trilogy was being recorded just as the first lockdown hit), I suspect this was planned as something they could record Tennant's contribution to alongside a fourth volume of 10DAs in a similar fashion to his cameo in The Legacy of Time. And once they did have this unexpected opportunity to record more than usual with Tennant, there was either no time to change plans or more TLV wasn't their priority.

Shocking & very annoying this hasn't had a CD release.
Feels like a two finger salute to CD purchasers, it ok purchase the other CD releases in the TLV range but you can't own this release on CD.

it was fine decent if average certainty nothing to write home about but i feel the performances of David and Paul were good and strong one thing which amazed me was how fast the story went

I had to order the LP from Amazon so no BF download for me, which means I won't get to hear this story for a while... but I am glad Echoes of Extinction is finally out!

It’s just part of the farce surrounding this release really. In the behind the scenes they talk like it’s a Big Finish production, say it’s Big Finish’s first original vinyl... except we’re told it’s not them.
Genuinely feels like Big Finish have signed a contract without really understanding what it entailed.

Apparently the vinyl is limited to 1,000 and they’re numbered by hand on the inner sleeve.
I think that shows how niche this is, especially when Amazon had these consistently in stock for a good couple of weeks after the pre-orders went live. Makes you wonder how many Big Finish have and how many are being sat on by the supposed international retailers.

If they want to do a follow-up event across incarnations and mediums, there's a piece of DW canon that we've barely seen, despite it being first mentioned in 1974... The Sontaran-Rutan War.
