Have we any indication of when Big Finish will be dispatching the vinyl? Given we paid a substantial delivery cost, and the release date was set in stone, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for them to have arrived on release.

I ordered mine from Amazon (on March 18th) & arrived on Sunday (18th April) I would have expected BF to have dispatched theirs before a third party retailer!

Not had E mail from them about Dalek Universe & Protocol being dispatched, be the usual we running our warehouse with less staff blah excuses blah. You paid delivery cost least can do dispatch items or if delay reimburse your delivery cost.

Thankfully consumerism doesn’t trump BF putting the safety of their employees first. I’m sure that they will be dispatched as quickly as they can safely do so. Nobody would want the workers to be put at risk for a quick turnaround I’d imagine. I'm not sure anyone's saying consumerism should be put first, I'm certainly not anyway. At the end of the day Big Finish were well aware of the release date for this, charged customers a premium for delivery and Amazon have already shown that the stock is there. There's no reason why they can't adhere to their standards and have got this delivered for release, or at the very least dispatched. Presumably they're using their usual business model of dispatching a little later and pretty much in the order they're being released in. That's fine, but you'd like to think they'd make an exception in this case, especially when they've made an exception themselves with the paid for delivery and the method it's being delivered. My own copy was ordered via Big Finish and cost me £24.99 including postage. 30 minutes later I secured a two copies for members on this board on Amazon at £18.99 apiece, dispatched before release and delivered on release date. They're now on their way to America & Australia before I've even had any indication of what status my own is in.

The project overall I don't know, I've enjoyed the Audios, the DWM Strip and free stories, but it hasn't made me intrigued enough to buy the books. Regards mark687 This is my main criticism of the project. The Time Lord Victorious story is the two novels. Everything else is supporting that, but it hasn't been promoted as such and they certainly haven't been released to reflect that. It does feel as though that was the intention originally, as the two books were the earliest thing promoted, but it was forgotten about as more licencees came on board. My other criticism is they didn't make the audios and the DWM strip more explicitly refer to the novels, but that wouldn't be an issue if they'd promoted and released it differently. These stories were OK as such and an intriguing 2-part experiment that worked together. There was one reference to the TLV storyline showing that this came afterwards. Overall TLV was a big disappointment for me. There were multiple Dalek stories that seemed to contradict each other instead of working together. I had thought that the audios would present some kind of whole story, but for most part they left me wondering why I bought any of them. I did not get that the TLV story really was the two novels and that if you did not read them you really would not understand how anything else was relevant. Maybe I'll read the novels at some point in the future, but I doubt it. I hope they do not do something like this again.

If they had done audiobooks for all flesh is grass and the other book It would have been much better and easier

Two weeks tomorrow since release and I've shipped copies to America & Australia that have been received safe and sound, yet still no traction from Big Finish themselves. I wouldn't mind, but they've had the cheek to charge for a courier to deliver.

Just received my vinyl copy (I'm the Aussie recipient mentioned above). I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, which is only ever a good thing Having heard/read the rest of TLV, I could see how this acted as both a prologue for Eight and an epilogue for Ten, and it was quite rewarding in that regard. Definitely a release worth revisiting! (Particularly when I have the time to do a complete TLV rerun in "chronological" order. It'll be tough, but I'm looking forward to it)

I wasn't too impressed with the TLV project overall, but Echoes of Extinction was a definite high and it isn't too connected to the TLV saga bar a few small references so it can be enjoyed on its own. I preferred the Eighth Doctor story of the two, so that's the cover you get here! However, both of these stories, although short, were very enjoyable... the red/blue vinyl is also very cool.

Always found their delivery times atrocious, before I moved to download only I'd prefer buying CDs from Amazon, more reliable.

You....took it out of the wrapper? Er... why not? Records are meant to be played, not kept in a wrapper and worshiped like a holy relic! I play all of my LP's.

Although Amazon didn't give me a free download with the LP, so if I wanted to hear Echoes of Extinction it's either play the record or buy the story again on download from BF.

There's obviously an issue with these, don't BF actually have them in hand to distribute to those that purchased them? My orders placed long after the release of this vinyl have been shipped, yet no word on this ! I've emailed them twice now with no reply. C'mon BF, out with it, what's the problem?

Maybe we need a seperate TLV thread so we can discuss the whole project, rather than just the individual stories.I think this has been mentioned somewhere, audio's of the two TLV Novels would be welcome! BTW love your turntable!

As with most of the TLV releases....I thought it was okay, I guess? No real complaints, but didn't really find this all that compelling. Maybe next time along, I'll see if it helps to think of these two stories kind of like Short Trips.

Still no word on the vinyl editions, is nobody who purchased from BF concerned over this. They don't even reply to email enquiries regarding it.
