What DW stories (tv, BF, other expanded media) do you think are deserving of reappraisal? How would they be reappraised?
Mine: “Deep Breath” : One of the most compelling and heartbreaking explorations of post-regenerative trauma and the Doctor’s changing identity. This episode definitely deserves another look! Too often it gets dismissed! “Hell Bent”: I think people were just too caught up in the fact that it wasn’t the big epic Gallifrey lore story they expected and didn’t appreciate the beautiful and tragic character drama between 12 and Clara. Twelve and Clara’s whole arch: I hope someday more people will appreciate the deep bond these two soulmates have for each other. I think if people just let go of their preconceived notions of them, they would find a unique Doctor/companion relationship where both halves are equal. The ending to “Last Christmas”: I often hear praise for the rest of this episode but nothing but criticism of the ending. I think the ending is beautiful, uplifting, and romantic and I feel it deserves more positive attention for this. To me it’s one of the most memorable endings of any DW episode! Love and Monsters: Yes there are some very awkward bits, but it has great satire of DW fan culture as well as some genuinely heartfelt exploration of what the Doctor means to ordinary people. Fear Her: I honestly think this episode has some really good concepts with Chloe’s drawings coming to life and trapping people. It’s a simple but very imaginative and creepy concept. “It Takes You Away”: Fascinating eerie fairy tale examination of grief with some interesting surreal Douglas Adam’s concepts

BF's The Time of the Daleks.
I just love the general atmosphere, the setting, the side characters and of course the bizarre Shakespeare speaking Daleks. Paul McGann is also having a ball and gives his all to a great script and plot.
