We Canadians have Boxing Day as well.
I stay home, sleep in and then spend the day watching the first few matches in the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Xmas Day is also my father-in-law's 70th birthday so we are mainly celebrating that. My mother and Aunt are staying with us over night so we'll be doing a proper Christmas Day on Boxing Day (just to confuse the kids).
We'll also be avoiding the Boxing Day pram race in our town. Sounds like fun, but just an excuse for everyone to get tanked up all day - they'll be fighting in the streets later. Same every year.
Cheers
Tony

Normally i sit in the dark consumed full of self loathing.
Or listen to some Big Finish Doctor Who or play on my X-box.

Boxing Day is my favourite. It's really what Christmas SHOULD be. It takes the commercial nonsense away and is really the day failies spend together - not worrying about dinner, or presents or who gets the remote.
Me? I love going to see Celtic on Boxing Day but they don't play till tomorrow thanks to Scottish football's awful over-a-barrell tv deal. So I'll stock up on movies.

Normally we go to the cemetery
But this year we were all under the weather...
So we stayed in and opened boxes of stuff we got for Xmas
I helped build Super 4!
Gene rocks!

Does anybody ever do any boxing on St.Stephen's Day? I suppose Christmas Day is a sort of unboxing day, but 'Boxing Day' means nothing to me as it's a term we don't use here. Although 'Watching the TV with leftover turkey day' is a bit of a mouthful, but is a more apt a title I reckon!

Vaguely wonder what Boxing day is, before just sleeping all day.
